Gets super hot. however the handle is kind of weak, cant use a lot of pressure when using the full mop mode, makes it hard to have enough pressure to use the whole thing completely.

This mop broke after 5 uses, I sent an email and tried to get a replacement with no response and of course it was past the 30 day return window. Not impressed.

The versatility, functionality and overall performance of this steam mop is impressive. I have a fairly new black and decker steam mop & after purchasing this particular item I can say with certainty I will be retiring the B&D steam mop since I can no longer return it.     • Works as expected. Bit flimsy and needs another mop pad
I had a steam mop years ago that I used on a tile kitchen floor and vinyl bathroom floors. It worked as far as a tool to do a slight wet mop on a floor. I liked it but never felt like it was doing anything amazing in terms of cleanliness and I had a large dog at the time - so it always seemed like it somehow amplified the dog smell. Now, years later, I have a place with mostly wood floors. I have cleaned the wood floor with swiffers or just getting on my hands and knees with a vinegar and water solution. Both work fine, but didn't love the chemical swiffers and wanted something where I could not be on my hands and knees. This popped up so thought I would give it a try. First, this looks like one of many similar steam mops. I suspect they all work pretty much the same whether you are buying a name brand or some random brand. You put water in (they all want you to use distilled), and element heats it into steam and forces it out a nozzle. Or in this case, a wide nozzle with a cloth on the end. It works - it provides that same semi wet mop I remember from years ago via hot steam. And again, I don't think it is doing any sanitary work. But it does work as a we mop. I also used a couple of the other attachments, they have a couple of brush attachments that worked well enough for some tough spots. again nothing that probably couldn't be accomplished with water and a regular brush, but here the steam is a bit more concentrated so there probably actually is some disinfection happening. I haven't tried any of the other attachments. So, overall, it works just like the steam mop I had years ago. The cord is long enough to not have to worry about, the tank is a good mix of big enough to do a reasonable sized floor but not so big it makes it heavy and unwieldy. The design does feel a bit flimsy, likely because it comes in essentially foot long sections that come together to make something long enough to mop with, but again, it worked fine. My biggest gripe is that it only comes with one pad for the mop function. I have a large space and would like to be able to swap it out when it gets dirty, then wash both in the washing machine when done. I think I can probably get one from another brand that fits but I would have much preferred one more pad than any of the other accessories. ... show more

    • Product is convenient but weak
Vacuum works and mop but using the mop after vacuuming with pets is not recommended as it literally smears hair around the floor with feature. Good for small quick area clean up but not for whole home.

This steamer does it all! It steams nicely, and gives that extra sterile cleaning my virgo nature requires. The mop padding is a bit thin though, so that was a little cheap seeming.
