I needed some glue for a project I was working on and came across this glue. The kit came with everything I needed to get the job done. I did have some very intricate items to glue together and with the fine applicator tips the job was a breeze. The glue has a strong bond with the wood I was using and I only needed a couple of drops of glue and got a crazy strong bond. I had a mess up on my part so thought I would test the bonding strength and I could not get the pieces apart and it definitely broke the item apart before releasing the bond. Better viscosity than jbweld super glue, it's a little thinner which is nice. Works well with an activator too. Mostly bond PETG with it, and it's almost like the models surfaces disolve into each other where the glue is, perfect results.

    • A notch above the common superglue you can buy at a store

High purity, high adhesion superglue. works well with accelerator. The medium grade is a bit harder to work with than the thin. The purity does make a difference. I get better results when using an accelerator spray with theis, usually I pray the accelerator on one piece and put glue on the other part, or hold the pieces together and spray the accelerator to "fix" the pieces together, until the bond fully sets. I had good luck permanently fix broken china and doing similar household repairs. One thing I hate about buying these larger bottles: I have to buy the larger amount to get a good price. The larger amount tends to harden in the bottle, or plug up the dispenser cap. The latter problem can be remedied a few times by drilling through, or punching through the hardened plug, but I always end up throwing away at least half of the glue in the bottle because of these problems. So I wonder if the large quantity is really such a good deal after all. The bottle cap (dispenser or other) always ends up getting glued to the bottle so over time it becomes un-removable. An idea for an improvement: I wish there was a way to make the bottle caps out of some material that does not bond with superglue? ... show more

Im not exactly a glue aficionado, I will admit I have become much more aware of glues because when using bad glue to hold things together (like the little tubes of krazy glue) you get a bad outcome. I had been trying another brand for some woodwork (yes you use CA glue in woodworking) and stumbled onto Starbond through word of mouth. This stuff is amazing! Its just the right consistency so it goes where you want it and its easy to keep it away from other things. It also comes with really clear instructions and if you want to really get perfect glue ups grab the Starbond activator as well. You may not think you need it, but once you try it you will be converted I know I was. ... show more

Despite the inclusion of a special miniature applicator the container does not dispense well after multiple uses. The glue builds up and eventually closes the dispenser.
