  • In place for less than a month, and is completely destroyed.
Size: 16 x 20 Feet
A picture is worth a thousand words. This tarp has been on my kayak, in a protected area. It doesn't see an wind, only sunshine. It has been in place for less than a month, and now is completely destroyed. I didn't over-tighten the ropes. I didn't put it against sharp edges, as I even placed 4" PVC pipe as a smooth surfaced brace above the trailer. The attached photos show what the tarp looks like with only exposure to the Texas sun. ... show more

  • what did i just buy? !
Size: 10 x 12 Feet
WHat i ordered and what showed up were night and day apart... The product description is a work of fiction. Medium weight ? Nope. Thin as an old bedsheet. Rope edges? Try twine. Ripstop ? What? No, it's the same thin poly throughout, with no thicker threads to be found. Rust resistant grommets? Maybe, until they are exposed to abrasion, water, or oxygen... They're just cheap thinly plated mild steel. Not brass or stainless. Reinforced corners... Yeah this is true. But reinforcing this material is pointless. Try using thicker material... I'd return it but as a $7 add on item there's no point. This is typical sweatshop garbage and on top of that I'll probably get one camping trip out of it before it goes in the trash, what a waste. I hope at least the poly was recycled... If you need a disposable single use tarp, you found it. And it is not suitable for tarping the load on a trailer. ... show more

  • JUNK, JUNK, JUNK - NOT DURABLE...AT ALL!!
Size: 12 x 16 Feet
If you're looking for longevity, keep looking. This "tarp" may be fine for short term use, but is very lightweight. It more closely resembles the woven shipping coverage you would find if you ordered truck freight stuff...ie...designed for a single use. Update April, 2017: My first assessment was spot on. Last February, 2017, this tarp was installed outdoors, in a relatively protected situation...well cinched down, no excessive wind, no excessive sunlight, in a moderate midwest climate... Today, after less than four months exposure, I discovered the tarp with several shredded areas...six areas in total, each about 10" x 10". Initially I thought vandalism...not so. Upon close inspection, I found the tarp had the strength of paper towel. I could literally poke my finger through...at any spot...with VERY SLIGHT PRESSURE. WHAT A JUNK TARP. Btw, I own at least 10 other, similar tarps...in similar settings and uses...all over 5 years old...and ALL still in good shape. Run from this tarp...Stansport = JUNK. I feel duped, hosed, hoodwinked... ... show more

  • Not horrible, just very light-duty
I ordered this tarp to cover firewood. When it showed up, there was a marketing insert/label that was taped to the tarp with that looked like normal clear tape, nothing fancy. I went to remove it and the tape peeled the brown part of the tarp from the underside (it's a kind of laminated construction, apparently). So not the end of the world, but I was disappointed to have a brand new tarp that was already damaged. To the seller's credit, they sent me a replacement at no charge. I've used the original tarp for my original purpose of covering a pile of wood and for that, it's fine. I used the replacement tarp to cover a trailer full of topsoil and that was a different story! I secured the tarp with bungee cords and immediately one of the corner grommets ripped right off. And that was with very light pressure from the bungee cord. After a short trip and low speeds two other corners showed signs of ripping out. All this to say: If you need a tarp for extremely light duty use, this may work. But if you are covering loads or doing anything with it that involves movement you should probably look to a more heavy-duty option. This is a very light-duty product, more like a dropcloth than a true tarp. ... show more

  • Wouldn't recommend
Size: 12 x 16 Feet
Not happy, I've had this probably a month now. I never even opened it until today bc I wasn't ready to use it. There's a small piece of fabric on the packaging to show you what the tarp is like.... All I can say is I wish I would have known it was gonna be a cheap thin garbage bag... It's very thin & not good quality material... Won't be buying again nor would I recommend unless you just need it to lay on the floor while you paint or something ... show more

  • Don't waste your money!
Size: 12 x 16 Feet
Very few times do I leave a really horrible review, but this tarp deserves one! The size was supposed to be 12x16 ft, but the fine print said the finished size was smaller. So 1) it didn't fit the area intended. and 2) Just unrolling it on a clean concrete garage floor, it tore. Once it got one hole, more holes magically appeared. There was no stopping them! It arrived the next-day, and was relatively inexpensive compared to similar sizes, but once it was in my hands I found out why. This tarp might last you one day or one season, but really, just leave this one on the shelf, you deserve something better! ... show more

  • Brown tarp - FYI California Cancer warning on packaging
Covers my wood pile. Sides held together by the keeper 06052 10" mini bungee cord (8pack). Blends in and works well. My woodpile is under the deck so it is somewhat covered. (original 5 star review) UPDATE: I purchased this tarp originally to cover my wood pile. Perfect. I decided to order a couple more sizes at great prices - about $2 and $3 for the small sizes so I could keep one in my car and downstairs to cover wet grass (put a blanket over) or use for whatever we'd need....but when I received the 6x8 size in the mail I saw the California prop 65 warning on the packaging which was NOT stated in the product description. "This product contains chemicals known (to the State of California) that may cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling"..... I'm sure that people have their opinions of prop 65 but I generally stay away from products that have that warning (aside from the fact that I am currently pregnant) in favor of products that don't carry that label and would not have purchased if it had been in the product description. I plan to purchase a waterproof blanket that folds up tiny for about $20 like the one from Praktical Life or Reid Retail both sold on Amazon. I only bumped it down to 3 stars because I think it depends what you're using it for. Woodpile, great - 5 stars......using as a "blanket" for my 3 babies even in a pinch for wet grass or sand, or under something my kids are playing on - or even under a blanket, no thanks. ... show more
