If you still don't own a stainless steel outdoor garden hose I just have one question....WHY? We have no purchased four or five of these and if they are amazing. They do not kink. You cannot make them kink. They do not get caught on things and kink. I realize I'm heavily focused on hoses kinking but anyone who has done any sort of yard work or power washing or even washing the card knows the biggest pain is being 50 feet away from the spigot and getting a kink somewhere in the hose. I love the fact that the sun will not break this material down. Here in Florida this on this tends to destroy all of our river and the composite hoses however so far these have not failed us. In addition, as if this wasn't already good enough, they included a sprayer with a 25 foot stainless steel hose. As you can tell by me a huge fan of stainless steel hoses. I have not replaced every hose outside my house with a stainless steel hose and never intend to go back to rubber composite. This hose can also be ran over probably not by a large truck but at least by most things you would use around the house and you would not have to worry about the hose tearing or flattening. If you take a look at what a regular router garden hose costs and the fact that you will be replacing that hose multiple times because it's going to undoubtedly kink all the time it just makes more sense to spend the money up front and get a good stainless steel hose. I found this hose to be much lighter and easier to pull across the lawn compared to the other hoses I used last summer to water our flower beds. This was a practice run because, although the trees are watered throughout the winter, the flowers are all covered up and asleep under their mulch of snow-covered compost and leaves this time of year. I did use water in the hose, though, in order to give it a good workout but kept the water to the trees. This hose does not kink, you have my word on that. I deliberately did my best to make it coil and twist up in circles by repeatedly changing direction as I maneuvered it over the lawn and it behaved perfectly. I am going to love the advantage of not having it kink when hand-watering the flowers next spring and summer. I also gave the nozzle that came with the hose a fair trial (it was cold out there!) and I really liked the way it fit my hand. It was easy on the wrist when changing the different types of sprays, too. A very nice bonus to receive with a particularly fine garden hose. ... show more

This is my first experience with a metal hose like this and I'm pleasantly surprised. It is lightweight and easy to work with, yet doesn't kink and generally resist compression. (I wouldn't drive a vehicle over it, but I can't easily squeeze it using my bare hands.) The brass ends seem well made and make connections smoothly and easily. There's even a rubber support near each end as this is where the extreme bending takes place. It is much easier to maneuver, carry, and store compared to the old PVC/rubber hose. The set also includes a plastic sprayer and two extra rubber washers. The sprayer did sort of dribble on one of its settings, but I look at the sprayer as a bonus anyway since I really just wanted the hose. Obviously longer and larger interior diameter would also be better, but for general yard work, this is doing great and I'm impressed. ... show more

We are gradually changing out all the hoses on the farm from rubber or synthetic to stainless steel. We go through so many hoses over time to service our raised bed gardening. The stainless steel seems to handle the heat better since it doesn’t so much absorb heat as reflect it. We plan to track the life of these stainless hoses over the next couple seasons and see what improvements they offer in terms of longevity. This hose comes with the nice plastic/composite grip areas on each end to make it easier to handle and turn the connecting ends. They also included a couple washers and a sprayer. These stainless steel hoses are our new favorite. We keep one in the basement by our laundry tub and the others outside. The don't kink and maintain their shape when stepped on. The only drawback is that I can't play the trick on someone where you kink the hose and get them to aim the nozzle at their face to see what happening only to let go and resume the flow of water all over them with this kind of hose. This one comes with a nozzle too that is very comfortable in our hands and has a variety of stream settings. ... show more

The hose is very light and it works very well for me. The picture shows the sprayer and there is a piece stuck in the opening where the hose will be connected. All the parts were packaged in a plastic bag which is the normal practice. I had to pry it loose and fortunately did not damage the threads inside the plastic sprayer. I got this for my dad since he kept complaining about the standard hose being a problem for him to roll up now. It has only been a week but my dad has been bragging about the hose to the neighbors. It doesn't get all kinked up like the standard hose and the head of the hose has several watering options depending on use.
