I wish we had purchased this sooner!! This is so much easier to work with and put away. Everyone hates traditional hoses and I know a lot are switching to expanding. We have had so many and they all ended up with holes. This is going to last. I was worried it would be super hot to the touch because it's been over 100 the last few days but it's not. The pressure could be a bit better but not bad enough to complain about. Even being steel, it's lightweight and easy to move around. My dad is tiny and doesn't have the use of his left side and he can easily pull this around without any issues. It can't kink and it's super easy to put away. It rolls up a third of the size of a 50 foot rubber hose. We will never go back!! Get this!! ... show more

Unlike a rubber or plastic-coated garden hose, any flexible metal hose gets unbearably hot (as in untouchable) in strong direct sunlight. Water must be run through them before they can be comfortably handled. This Kofero Stainless Steel Flexible Garden Hose is no different in this respect. Nevertheless, it's a great flexible metal hose. This hose does have a narrower diameter than a standard rubber or plastic-coated garden hose, so the hose's outlet end will "snake around" (i.e., flail) more wildly than a regular diameter garden hose if water runs through it at full spigot capacity. This smaller bore does increase the water pressure at the delivery end. Bit, to avoid getting soaked while trying to pick up the business end of this hose after turning the water on, I'd recommend keeping the nice 10 function pistol-grip spray nozzle that's included with this hose on it whenever possible. When I first looked at it I didn't think much of the plastic-handled spray nozzle included in the box. But after dropping it on concrete when attached to a full hose and seeing it wasn't damaged at all, I started to reconsider. Then after using all 10 settings a few times I was fairly impressed. It's a rare thing for a garden hose to include a nozzle spray gun, much more seldom a good one, so this is a very nice touch. Three replacement hose washers are included also (but this is now somewhat common when buying a new garden hose). If a flexible metal garden hose gets kinked it's been my experience that the hose is ruined. It usually leaks like a sieve and isn't easy to repair, if it can be repaired at all (some I've seen can't). Metal hoses can also be crushed when they are empty, and they don't pop back up to full roundness like a rubber or plastic-coated garden hose will. This Kofero metal garden hose is no exception to this. I stepped on it rather hard by accident on cement when the hose was dry and I halfway flattened it. Thankfully I rounded it back out (more or less) by carefully applying foot pressure on one side of the semi-flat part while holding it down on the other. For this it lost a star because I was hoping the stainless steel jacket that encases this hose would be stronger. The only benefit gained by this weakness is that the hose is lighter than it would be if the metal was thicker. 4 stars ... show more
