This is a great hose. It's actually my second (see cautionary tale below). You can drive over it, beat it up, the dogs can't eat it, it weighs next to nothing, it doesn't rust, and it doesn't get gross like a rubber hose if it's left out in the sun...it's almost perfect. I'd like to see it in a larger diameter, but was unable to find one. The one caution I have for this hose, though, is that it is NOT livestock-proof. While you can drive a freaking backhoe over it without a problem, if, say, a horse were to step on it, it would crimp it and leave a flat spot that no pair of pliers or channel locks known to man can un-crimp. And if it were to happen in multiple locations, well, let's just say that your water flow would cease to exist and you would find yourself buying a second one. ... show more

Used my old metal hose for years and time to replace it due to leaks. Not sure if they’re actually all the same with a different label slapped on to them but went with this “brand” because it was a bit cheaper. Love this type of hose because it never kinks and rolls back up on the wheel quick and easy. Also survived many freezing winters outside. Been using this new one daily for a few weeks and no regrets so far. I don’t know if THIS one will end up being the best hose EVER, but I do know it’s the best TYPE of hose ever! Just a tip: I attach a nozzle to the hose but make a point of not shutting off the water there so as to avoid putting water pressure on hose and faucet where leaks could potentially form. So lightweight but strong, no tangles, no leaks, easy to use. We have replaced all our hoses now because the price was reasonable. We live in AZ and the sun is blazing as is the heat, rubber hoses don’t stand a chance here.

I have bought and used many hoses in my life. In the past 15 years, I have found plastic compound hoses that say “Kink Free” have been a joke. About 9 years ago, tried a newer design that was better, but still had issues. Left those behind at another home by choice. Bought a new home and decided to try these new stainless outer jacketed hoses. Been using them for 10 days. Excellent! Can not kink them at all. Very flexible to coil on the ground when finished. Similar in design to the stainless hose you see on flexible shower handheld units. I bought two 50 foot hoses. One hose connected to faucet, pressure delivered excellent. Two hoses connected together for 100 feet, you will get a pressure drop. But that can be expected. I gave the hose 4 stars as only used them for a short period of time. The brass fittings make the difference. They typical stainless steel hoses have aluminum fitting which WILL corrode onto your hose bibs and attachments. (If this happens to you - soak in vinegar and you will be able to free them). If you already have aluminum fittings make sure you but some plastic quick connectors to avoid the corrosion. ... show more

I love this garden hose. I was very skeptical that a steel hose could be light and easy to maneuver, but it is! I have joint pain issues and I cannot lift a heavy hose when watering my flower beds. I bought the 100 foot size. We have 1 acre of property and I have multiple flower beds that I water every day in the summer. I love that I don't have to stop and unkink a hose anymore. This hose does not kink, or get hung up at all. It's smooth when I walk across the grass and it's easy to work with. We have a well and hard water.
