  • Awesome and great against ants too!
Delivered fast and well packed. It does what it says and more cause this also kills ants on contact. Already purchased several times. I will recommend.

  • Doesn't kill wasps on contact
I used this Spectracide to take out several wasp nests recently. The spray works well in the 10-15 foot range. I was able to hose down the wasps as they fled the nest. Unfortunately, the Spectracide does not kill on contact. Several of the wasps were able to fly away with a few who made their displeasure with me known. I came back to check on the nests 5 to 10 minutes after the initial spraying to find several wasps still crawling around on the ground. It took about 20 to 30 minutes before the wasps were finally deceased. So the Spectracide works well but be aware that it takes time to kill the wasps. ... show more

  • Does the job
Finding different bee/wasp nests in the eaves. The pressure washer didn’t quite reach them. This product held true and shot foam right on the nest. Found dead insects within the hour. The price was great too!

  • WORKS GREAT! You have to wait until dusk or dawn to get them
You have to wait until dusk or dawn to use this stuff. Im reading reviews from what it looks like people are just walking up to the wasp and spraying them at any time. You have to wait until they are settled in their nest when it is dark... These wasp have been hanging out in our recycling can at work for 2 weeks now and I thought ENOUGH!! I ordered this and when I got it, I went back to work around 9:30 at night and blasted the whole can. I camme back the next morning and not one wasp was alive. I found the nest and it was tucked up under the handle in the far left cornor. I pojed a stick up there and knocked it out. This stuff was easy to use and it did the job. Most of all the price was excellent!! ... show more

  • Not effective enough with initial treatment.
The sprayer is great. Shoots far and accurate. Only problem was it seems the chemicals are a little on the weak side and it took several treatments to finally kill off the wasp nest I used this product to remove.

  • Joy, then panic, and ending with a lack of satisfaction
I equipped the Spectracide, ready to confront the wasps in my lawn. The first spray was magnificent -- the liquid blasted out with a strong, concentrated stream (similar to the picture in the product listing), and a direct hit knocked down a wasp immediately (though the stream's distance seemed to be closer to 15 feet, rather than the 27 feet that this product claimed). I looked over the downed wasp, and it was still walking slowly, but steadily...it wasn't really writhing around, and it didn't look like it was in pain, so I sprayed a point-blank (i.e., a few feet away) direct shot at it...again, it didn't kill on contact, but at least it seemed somewhat incapacitated. Anyway, at first, this felt great. I felt like a ghostbuster with my proton pack...but it only lasted a minute, because all of a sudden, my charge was empty. A wasp came darting at me (it knew I was on empty), and I somehow instinctively let out a small yelp, and I ran back into my house. In all honesty, I don't think I sprayed too wastefully, so I was extremely surprised at how quickly the can was emptied. I'm not sure if this is typical (at only $4 for a 20 ounce bottle, it's cheaper than an equivalent volume of Red Bull, so perhaps the small quantity is justified...?). So in general, regarding this Spectracide product... • Somewhat effective, but not an instant kill-on-contact • Exaggerated spray distance claim, but still provides a decent-length stream • Runs out of juice quickly ... show more

  • Took them out in one soaking
Long distance accurate sprayer. I took a couple practice shots away from the nest. Approached at dusk. Took aim. Let it flow. Saturated small nest. Caught early as there were a dozen adult bees building a new nest over my front entrance door. The spray force actually knocked the nest down so use caution and coat good. Just follow instructions on the can. Be sure to take practice shots then you should be ready. Even coated the bees were still crawling but no e flying and soon within 4-5 minutes at longest last ones dead. Bees have flown to spot where nest was hanging but leave immediately sensing residue. Great price great product. ... show more
