  • Simple and super effective!!
Thinking that perhaps Moses had released the Japanese beetle plague upon us I ordered these very simple but very effective traps. The first trap I put together and connected it to the light outside my back door and by the time I had the second trap together in less than five minutes I already had over 10 Beatles in the first trap!! By the time I got the last trap put together and hung out in the yard I would estimate I easily had over 50 Beatles in my traps. Warning do not hang them near the entrance of your house because you will have a beetle swarm plaguing you as you enter and exit! I can tell already it won’t be long and I will be changing the bags out, so thankfully they came with a second bag for each trap! I already can tell it’s a fabulous product thank you Spectraside! ... show more

  • Caught 99% of the beetles
This works great! Caught 95% of the beetles that were destroying my pink dogwood tree. The beetles have been gone for about 6 weeks and my tree is starting to thrive again. I thought it was beyond saving. Thank goodness I found this! I definitely will keep these in stock. Highly recommended.

  • Worked perfectly!
These worked perfectly. We hung them up in our garden and within a day we noticed a decrease in the presence of the beetles. Even better, there is no poison involved in these traps so we are able to freeze the beetles and feed them to our chickens! The price was a little more expensive that I was expecting when my husband asked me to order them but 100% worth the money. ... show more

  • Love these
Performs exactly as described, each bag is only used once. Instructions say to add a rock to make them more stable, but they fill up so fast that stability wasn't an issue. 48 hours is the longest it has taken to fill a bag so far, but they are a good size. Easy to assemble, and durable even when full. I tie them off and put them in an empty plastic bag before dropping in the trash. ... show more

  • Good beetle trap
I have used these for a couple of years in my yard, and they do really well trapping Japanese beetles. I usually get at least 1/4 to 1/3 of a bag full each year. They are specific to Japanese beetles, so they do not lure other types of beetles.

  • Effective insecticide, but
when the bugs hit the bait they fall down into a flimsy plastic bag that’s held up only by four holes near the top edge, that fit over plastic hooks in the frame. It’s not at all stable; hard to empty; and difficult to re-use. There are better options- ie, with more stable construction-available at about the same price. ... show more

  • Works great on beetles
We recently moved in and noticed the beetle infestation. Everyone in the neighborhood has these so we decided to try it. It works great! We put it down the hill and it draws the beetles away.

  • These are magic!
I was skeptical at first but saw some videos of people using these to control Japanese beetles and then use the beetles as chicken food. What a idea! Reduce a invasive species, save your garden, and free chicken food! My goodness do these work well, the beetles swarm to them catching 50 to 100 a day. If everyone who has a issue with Japanese beetles bought one of these we could basically get rid of this issue in 2 years! ... show more
