Bought this to replace a Fulton on my boat trailer because the F/R latch broke on the Fulton. I will say that despite this being a 3500# winch, it doesn't seem nearly as robust as the 2600# it's replacing. The framing is lighter, the main gears are one piece, as opposed to sandwiched plates, and there is a concerning amount of side to side slop in the F/R lever which means only 1/2 to 3/4 of the tooth interlocks with the drive gears. However, I just installed it and haven't put it through any paces yet, so it may work just fine. It's less than half the price of the Fulton, but I do realize if it end up failing, that doesn't really matter anymore. I'm gonna use it a few times and see how I feel about it. ... show more

Bought it for my boat trailer. First time using it hauling boat out of water, it stripped a section of teeth. The drum isn't tight around the bolt so it has room to move under pressure and stripped the end of the teeth.
