These soundproofing acoustic tiles work GREAT! We recently relocated and are living in an apartment. We have two pet birds... one of which can be VERY loud. As we had never lived in an apartment setting with them before we were worried about possible noise complaints. We did what we could and picked an end unit so we only had one neighbor and common wall. We also put the birds as far from that wall as possible. We thought all was good until coming home one day we could hear the birds down the hall. They could be heard through the metal front door. We decided on the foam tiles to help dampen the noise in the hall and reduce some of the echo inside our apartment. These tiles worked perfectly and looked nice! I used the 3M Command picture hanging strips to attach them to the door. I used 2 strips per square as extra support since the door is open and closed multiple times a day. The acoustic tiles really do a great job on reducing the noise in our hallway as well as easing our fears of noise complaints. I made multiple orders of these as I wasn't sure how many I would need. I work at home and have these all over the outside of my office door. These have significantly dulled the sounds from my wife and children.. I have showed pictures to my coworkers who also work at home. They will be purchasing these also. The tiles arrived very quickly and I have no issues with quality. These have stood up to a two year old "testing" their sturdiness. If I need more in the future I would order these ones again. To attach them I recommend spray adhesive. ... show more

These do not work for sound at all. If you’re looking for aesthetic sound panels, then these are it. But if you actually want them to control the amount of sound in a room, these aren’t it. They’re extremely thin and noise goes right through them. Material isn’t thick enough to keep noise from going through. These are purely decorative. Beware! ... show more

These have a sharpie like smell to them, not really strong but pretty noticeable if you don't leave your door or window open with a fan turned on, besides that they look pretty nice just how you would expect it to look. Feels really firm and sturdy and has a very small glitter effect when exposed to light close up. I bought the rosey beige for a home dance studio with a terrible echo. It was a bit of a gamble with the color, as our walls are also a beige-toned rose. Specifically, Sherwin Williams’ “Dressy Rose.” It’s a near perfect match. I used 8 panels to cover most of the inside of the door with it, and it noticeably reduces the echo. I bought two more packs to finish off the door and add a few more panels below the barre. I think that will take care of the last bit of the echo problem. To other customers, I would say know your needs before you buy. I have never loved this type of foam as a soundproofing product - this isn’t as dense as what you’d find in a professional setting such as an editing booth, recording studio, etc, - but to kill an echo it’s great. ... show more

I used this foam in an isolation cabinet and it reduces the volume a lot while recording. I was using a 100watt Tube Head around 12oclock position and it was quiet enough to be in the same room. If you don't know how loud a 100 Watt Tube amp is, it is about 105-115db. I wish I ordered more just to make the box look more uniform, but I don't believe it needed more for sound reduction. ... show more

Nice product with different color options. My first attempt to adhere the foam failed after a day's time, but the foam Installed easily once I used the correct adhesive. The studio foam was installed on the back of two six paneled doors where the foam spans over these recessed surfaces. The durometer of the foam seems firm enough to not sag into theses recesses. ... show more
