  • Unrefined but adequate
Color: Black
So far they do have great sound...Rich tones and clean bass. Despite being larger they fit comfortably for several hours. And they do indeed work great in the shower. I've been wearing them in the shower every day for the last 3 or 4 months. But, i'll probably stick with my Samsung buds+ for day to day and use these other ones in watery environments because sound quality and waterproof-ness are the only 2 good things about them. Downsides... - Every time you put them in your ears a voice says "Computer Haring" which seems to be Chinese for "pairing. Having an unrecognizable voice instead of a pleasant audio tone makes them feel cheap. - The case is quite a bit larger. I'm not willing to carry it around in my pocket because it's not thin enough. - The case is difficult to open in the dark. The seam is very fine making it difficult to feel which side of the clamshell is the lid or hinge. - There is no ambient sound amplification and no active noise cancellation. I normally use the ambient sound throughout the day when talking to work mates and when I'm walking from my car to my apartment at night so someone can't sneak up on me. I also use that feature when in nature so I can hear animals from further away. - Pairing is not as seamless as Samsung. For example I go back and forth from my TV or laptop and phone regularly. With the Soundcore I have to manually go into my TVs bluetooth settings and disconnect before they will re-enter pairing mode to connect to my phone. Not cool. If I forget to do this and turn off my TV without disconnecting in the settings first, I have to put the buds back in the case...THEN try connecting with my phone. It's such a hassle. - It has single and double tap functions but not triple tap. Summary: They're cheap, but they're waterproof and have pretty good audio. Buy them until something better shows up. ... show more

  • Almost perfect for Gym. Just wish it had pass through.
Color: Black
I needed a pair of wingtip in ear earbuds for the gym that wouldn’t fall out. I can’t really use the hook kind because I wear glasses. These fit perfect in my small ears with the smallest tips. They also have physical buttons so I don’t accidentally touch it when wiping sweat. Battery life is really good and the price can’t be beat. Sound is good but I’m not an audiophile. It usually blocks out most noise just with the seal. I only wish they had an option with noise canceling just for the pass through capability so I don’t have to take them out when I talk to someone. If they made a premium version I would buy them in an instant. Worth checking out if you want a solid pair of in ear gym headphones. ... show more

  • They're quite decent. More or less on par with Altec Nanobuds.
Color: Black
I had the Altec Lansing sporty wing Nanobuds before these and I loved them. However, one bud started not holding a charge for more than a few minutes. I finally decided to give up and buy new ones. I settled on these, which arrived just today. After listening to them for a while, I like them but have somewhat mixed feelings about them and will be comparing the two. The sound quality is on par with the Altec Lansing buds I had. If I HAD to pick one as the better quality, I'd probably say the Altecs were a little better, a little smoother. But they're pretty close--enough that after listening for a while, you'll probably forget most differences. But since I'm comparing the two, I'll say this: The highs on these are extremely sharp and clear (almost too much, lol) and the bass is good without being blown out. I like music to feel full and powerful without being fuzzy or muted. These don't have that problem. The mids are maybe a bit weaker compared to the crispy highs and lows, but it's still pretty decent. I can't complain too much here, especially given that you can change the sound up. My phone uses Dolby Atmos, which lets you change things up. Plus, there is an app for these buds which might let you do something similar. But I haven't used it yet, so I have no idea. I'm not reviewing that. Volume-wise, the Altecs are quite a bit louder per unit volume (ie, volume level 1 on the Altecs is about the same as volume level 3 on these). However, these get plenty loud, so that's not really an issue. You'll still blow your ears out at max, so it's a moot point. It's just something I noticed, so I'm mentioning it. The fit is decent, but I might play around with it some more. Idk yet. I wasn't sure how I liked it at first since they fit a bit differently from my old ones. My conclusion is that they are less comfortable than the Altec sport wing Nanobuds, but these actually stay in my ears better (not that the others didn't stay in, but these are hella tight!). They stick tight like a rubber glove. If you smacked me in the head, I don't think they'd come out. The buds themselves are kinda chunky and do stick out further than the Altecs, for what it's worth. If you're trying to side sleep in them, don't bother. Besides that, I don't see that it's an issue, so whatever. The case is quite compact, being slightly smaller than the Altec case. But it appears to hold one less charge than the other. The magnets that hold the buds to the charge bits are super strong and you almost gotta rip them out. But at least they're secure. And the case feels good and sturdy, too. The lid seems to stay tight. I trust it so far. So far, my biggest gripe is the actual controls. The Altec Nanobuds have touch sensitivity, meaning there's no clickable button. You just touch your finger to the bud and it effortlessly reads the gesture. Plus, the controls made a lot more sense on those. I really don't like the controls on these. For one, it's a legit click button, which you have to press hard. And it doesn't go straight in because of the way the bud sits in the ear. It's kind of at an angle, so it's pretty awkward. You almost have to hold/brace the bud to press the button. That's kind of irritating by itself, but that's not all. I got so used to being to skip forward AND backward by double tapping my Altec Nanobuds, but these do NOT have backwards skip ability. Double tap right pauses/plays, while double tap left skips forward. It's not very intuitive and if you want to replay a song or go back to a previous one, you gotta open your phone. It's not a huge deal until your hands are busy, lol. Then it suddenly becomes a whole thing. Overall, I like them okay. I think I slightly prefer my old Altecs, but I'm probably going to keep these. They are about $25 cheaper than the Altecs, so I think they're worth the price, even if they take some getting used to. They're not significantly different in sound quality, so only the fit and button controls make or break these. If you like click buttons and an uber snug fit, these will likely be for you. If you prefer a more efficient touch with softer buds, the Altecs might be better. ... show more

  • Best sport earbuds
Color: Black
Great earbuds, decent sound quality. They will not fall out of your ear. I go running, walking, play full court basketball, mow my lawn. Never once have these fallen out. And if they ever do fall out break or get stolen your not out hundreds of dollars. These never run out of battery. Charge very quick. If you're a active person get these you will not be disappointed. ... show more
