The build quality of the lights themselves seem fine, however there are so many disappointments, and the automatic functionality is extremely basic. These are very expensive lights that totally suck! To be able to control all of the lights at once, especially if you want anything special like rotating color, you'll have to create two automation rules completely manually to turn them all off or on at once, which involves selecting each light one at a time, as well as selecting the options for each light one at a time to be saved into an automation rule. That means setting 36 options at least just to be table to turn them all off or on at the same time! You'll also need to do this again to use an automatic schedule. This could be related to my home firewall/router, but it appears that Google Home integration is completely useless even when using with the gateway. I honestly don't understand what the point of the gateway even is, since you don't appear to gain any additional functionality by using it. If I can determine a problem with my network, I'll come back and edit this review. And to top it all off, if you were expecting these to react to any music or sound, it's another useless gimmick, since you can only do this with just ONE light at a time. That is ridiculously annoying as well as completely misleading. How stupid does that look? Flat out embarrassing for $200 lights... ... show more

Couldn't be more pleased! This was a huge install job with 120 lights total for a staircase leading to a lake. Easy installation if you take out the 750ft of UF-2 wiring, gang boxes and staples to hang wire. Highly recommend if you want your house to look amazing at night!

I will probably add a dimmer because they are so bright. But the problem isn't the lights its the way my stairs are configured. I have a run, then a landing and then another run, so the space is tight. However, it is nice to be able to turn on one switch and illuminate the entire path

These work great for a staircase that needs lighting. But be prepared to run/install electrical wiring for every single light, a LOT of work but once done they work great. The dimable feature is pretty cool too.
