The plastic is easily broken, but what I really dislike is the on/off button. It’s a switch that you push in either direction but does not remain there. It reverts back to the middle position. Ordered the 12pk warm light and used 6 to line my walkway from my vehicle to the door - these 6 work great. I used the other 6 in my backyard; 4 to line the walk way to my trashcans and the last 2 lights to light up a tree. As you can see from the photos, several of these lights do not work. All 12 worked great for about 2 weeks. I’ve had these for a month and several don’t work anymore. I live in sunny, hot central TX and the lights should get plenty of charge and sunlight during the day. These are not worth the price I paid when several are not working.UPDATE: Lexie with customer service reached out to me directly after my review and went above and beyond to remedy the situation with a refund - which, honestly I was not expecting. I would do business with this company again on that fact alone. I appreciate the quick reply. ... show more

The lights work great and look great. It was a little effort to install them level because I have a gravel front yard but it was worth the extra effort. The picture shows the lights after they have been on for 6 hours and still going strong. It's been about a month and still going strong.

These lights work great, but I think the design is flawed. The pucks themselves are inexpensive and almost perfect, but the little platform that comes with them is extremely flimsy and very difficult to attach. We ended up just putting them on the ground, which doesn't really work when walking next to them because the light shines up directly into your eyes. And setting them directly on the ground doesn't really light a walkway very well, but it does create a border. I think they should have a platform and the light should be underneath to shine down onto the ground rather than up. The best use of these, in my opinion, is to place them next to a wall or plant as up-lighting. They are bright and look nice. ... show more

Had a couple sets of these for a year now. They are in some light woods on a trail where we store materials for work. My man was having trouble backing up truck and trailer to load for the next day during the winter months when night comes early. I cut strips of sheet metal and epoxied the lights to them along with a reflector and screwed them into trees along the path. They worked perfectly for that and still do after a year. I also have some mounted as markers on a pole building we back trailers into after dark. They are still shining brightly when I get up at 5:30 AM. Ordering another set now for back up when the batteries eventually fail. If you use them as I described make sure to scratch up the plastic on the back so the epoxy can bite into the scratches. ... show more

I bought these lights in April and they looked great for the first 5 months, then one by one the toggle switches began to fail and wouldn't stay in the "on" position for more than a minute or two. Flip the toggle and they would come on again, bright and fully charged, only to go off again in a few minutes. By the time 6 months had passed (warranty expired), 2/3 of them were failing in this way. After some back and forth emails, today I received a complete replacement set from Solpex, no charge.
