The media could not be loaded. Well. Here we are. Nails cost $50 minimum and while we want to give our nail techs the $$$ I've never found a nail tech or salon in my area that did what I wanted or didn't completely destroy my nails. I typically do regular polish, but I work on a farm and my nails grow fast, which is a blessing and problem, because I turn around and suddenly one will break because of excessive washing, trying to catch a sheep, etc. A nurse at my dr office had stunning nails and she said she does them herself just using random gel kits from Amazon. I was amazed. I couldn't stop thinking about it. One thing I got at my last salon was a "dip no chip" nail. They did a thin dip base and then gel top coat. I had broken two nails last week, so I ordered a dip repair kit and did that as a base yesterday on all my nails(aotek repair kit, no activator to keep rougher surface, just buffed a bit). I need a lot of practice, as these aren't shaped great and a little chunky, but today this gel kit came and wow. Easy, cured beautifully. I'm pretty steady with painting nails, as I've done my own with regular polish for about 15 yrs, so you may not want to start with something this permanent if you need practice in that dept. The base coat is sticky, which I couldn't remember was normal, but I just went with it. Three thin coats of color and cured 60sec between. Top coat I cured for 90sec. Beautiful, hard. Gorgeous. I will try to remember to update on how removal goes and wear lasts. I don't think I'm going to try and make my manis last more than 10-14 days, because of my fast nail growth and why not try more colors more often when I did the gel portion on this many in 15 minutes? Opposed to 30-50 for regular polish?! One singular con is that I did do thin coats of color and some nails are still a little more transparent than others. Not sure if the opacity is a little weak on this color (the salmon pink/coral in the classic kit), or I went too thin on these coats. I literally got this on sale for $24.99. It comes with everything you could need. And the finished nails look BETTER and less bulky than the first time I did dip nails at a salon. 5/5stars ... show more

I guess i wasn’t thinking or realized- the bottles of polish were so small. I read all reviews, did research etc etc of this specific one. I would say 2 (+/-) sets per bottle of color (depending how many coats you do on each set) other than that, the colors are really pretty. The quality of them are pretty fair, as well as the quality of the accessories and the uv lamp. I’ve never owned a uv lamp before for gel nails, so i cant compare it to anything, but like i said from the research/reviews i read, it was worth the money. which so far it is. I got this product hoping a gel nail polish would stay on longer with less chipping, but in 2 days I've had 5 nails peel off completely. My nails also bend just as much as without polish, whereas they wouldn't after salon gel. Takes far longer than advised to cure. Good color selection though, and the accoutrements are just as pictured. ... show more

*Edited to add that a month later my left thumb nail has started to seperate from my skin and it looks like it likely WILL fall off (pictured.) I had not used anything on my nails before this product and have used nothing since. Please don't buy it 😅* Right off the bat there were problems. The product never set. On my first application I did as directed on my non-dominant (left) hand. It wiped right off. A day later I tried a second time, again on my non-dominant hand, applying even thinner layers and tried to set it under two different lamps for AT LEAST 10 minutes each and again, over and over the product smeared everywhere when I went to check it. This caused the product to get all over my fingers... cuticles, under the top of my nails, all the way down to my knuckles... EVERYWHERE. So even if the story ended here, this product is useless at best. Unfortunately as the days passed this experience got much more disturbing. A few days after my second application my fingers started to swell and turn red, then an itchy rash began to develop from my knuckles to the tips of my fingers on my left hand only. Over the course of the next week tiny pin point blisters began to form around my cuticles and eventual BIG, PAINFUL blisters began to form around my knuckles and the cuticle on my pinky. I even had blisters forming under my thumb nail 😩 I do not have sensitive skin, I'm not prone to hives and have never had an experience even remotely similar to this. It's finally getting better, but now I'm sitting here with itchy, cracking, withered skin just waiting to see if my thumb nail falls off. I know this product is cheap, but it's not worth a single red cent. The only reason I won't send this back and recover what little money I did spend is because I suspect all of this is a result of recycling used/ contaminated merchandise to make a profit, and I wouldn't wish this on anyone! *Pictures are my fingers at different points throughout the progression and the last is a picture of my right thumb for reference of what my fingers normally look like* ... show more
