This rack is a great value for the price. I was really expecting the latches and casters to be kinda less than, but they're actually ok. It's important to mount your gear square, otherwise the covers won't want to go back on. I suggest loading the front before the top. We have a small 4-piece band that uses a 16 channel mixer, two amps and some processor boards. In the past, we had these units in two smaller 4u and 8u portable racks. The mixer was separate. We upgraded the mixer and needed another 3u of rack space. We ordered this Sound Town 12U PA DJ Rack and moved everything in to this new unit. It's has wood panels framed with aluminum for sturdiness. The covers have the snap, twist lock fastners and tongue and groove coupling to hold them in position. I had to install the wheels (easier to ship with them off) but all the hardware was with the unit including enough rack screws for the equipment. It's heavy, but rolls very easily. Overall the rack is ok for the money. It was quite a bit beat up and scratched in places. Some of the joints dont align when you put the covers on. The mixer rack rail wont stays up on one side, one side rail is broke so I can keep the mixer at an angle. Within 1 hour of contacting them (via email) about the broken rail I had a tracking number for the replacement. Great customer service!!! ... show more

was kinda pain to put together as the "instructions" were not very clear on how to attach the casters to the board then the board to the box, but didnt take long to figure out. One person can do it would be easier with two. (more hands) the only issue i have so far is upon opening the box: 1) i noticed the rivets on one corner of the lid had popped off. at first it looked as though they were never put on but after further examiniation and finding the evidence in the bottom of the box you can clearly see they were attached at one point and broke off sometime after fabrication. im not to extremely worried as it just the top cover. 2) envelopes holding washers and screws was busted open and all over the bottom of the box 3) lots of scratches and crack damange on the bottom inside where the casters were attached during transport 370 dollars for a box that looks like the fabricator had better things to do. all and all seems to be exactly what i was looking for minus the damnages but only time will tell ... show more
