  • Awesome tool
Color: ProBeat
I enjoy this metronome it works good and it’s easy to understand how to work it. I’m able to adjust the beats and time very easily. And the sound is just great and I can adjust that as well. I can listen by voice if I choose as well which is good for beginners like me. I’m glad I invested a few bucks into getting this, definitely well worth it for me. ... show more

  • Durable, well made and very usable device
Color: ProBeat
This has to be the best of all the inexpensive metronomes I've purchased, both standalone products and downloadable apps. The range of beats and rhythms is sufficiently large and very usable for all my guitar practicing needs. My favorite feature is having a voice to call out the beats in a measure, and my least favorite feature is having to cycle through all the beat and rhythm options to get to the preferred selection. The device seems well made and durable, nothing too fancy, just a few buttons and a volume wheel. Like all physical metronomes of this sort, dialing in a setting is a bit fiddly, especially since all the buttons look alike without the benefit of reading glasses. Well worth the 20 bucks it cost to purchase. ... show more

  • Good and Convenient--but not perfect
Color: ProBeat
I purchased this to replace the iPhone app that I had been using for a metronome. That app wouldn't automatically power down and was draining down the battery. This metronome has the same basic features that the app had, including the various rhythms (triplets, eighth-sixteenth note combinations, etc.). The controls are intuitive. I use it with the sound turned down, and the control of sound volume is not very good at lower levels. There is no sound at all when I start turning the volume control wheel at its lowest level. After about a quarter turn of the wheel I get the first sound, and then there is no change for about 1/8 of a turn after which the volume jumps to a higher level. I don't think that I would notice this so much at the highest volumes. I tried to deploy the stand, but it is so tight that my fingernails were bending when I tried to pop it out. Eventually I used the screwdriver blade on my Swiss Army knife. I just lean the metronome on the music stand, which works for me. ... show more

  • Perfect for what I need
Color: ProBeat
Love everything about this. The price, the features. Rechargeable, headphone out. Easy to dial in tempos. I love the tap feature to get you close. Using this for high school band conducting as well as playing and learning new music as in local Broadway shows. I highly recommend this unit. I lent it to a conductor friend and she ended up getting one as well. ... show more

  • Works well; Different Beat Patterns are Great!
Color: ProBeat
Works well for both my son and I. The different beat patterns are great with 3 on 2 or 2 on 3 patterns, which can be hard for kids to learn without a metronome like this.

  • Simple for even a beginner to figure out
Color: ProBeat
I am just starting to learn to play instruments and have found that having something counting the beats for me makes a big difference. I chose this one because of some features it has that many others don't, and I've appreciated how they meet my needs. I'm sure that seasoned musicians would have better feedback to offer about being able to play different note speeds and all that, but the things even I as a novice appreciate are: 1) the size -- small and convenient with a little stand 2) no batteries or cord -- just charge it with the included cable and you're solid for hours 3) volume control -- radial dial makes it easy to choose exactly how loud you want it 4) tone options -- different kinds of sounds so it's not that standard metronome sound if you don't like that 5) digital tempo -- easy to adjust how fast or slow you want the beat with either the dial OR tapping it to make your own beat and it tells you exactly how many beats per minute you're doing before maintaining it 6) multiple count choices -- I've needed both the three and the four counts, but it goes up a lot more than that Very happy with this product! ... show more

  • It works as it should, not the most intuitive buttons
Color: ProBeat
This metronome works as it should, has a rechargeable battery and the BPM seem accurate to my other metronomes. The buttons are not so intuitive to figure out but the instructions explain it well enough. I do like the volume and tempo dials. However, the instructions say that you click the button on the side to change the tone and hold for 2 seconds to toggle on or off a woman's voice counting, but my button works reversed from those instructions. Volume is ok, it gets fairly quiet and medium loud but I'm an instrumental guitarist and sometimes can't hear the metronome while strumming louder passages. The speaker port is in the back so if you turn it around you'll hear it better but won't be able to see the light flashing the tempo. Works well enough for me, but overall I think its probably only worth 1/2 - 3/4 the price it's listed for. ... show more
