I bought this and the Joyo battery powered 3W amp to put with the guitars I sell to make a quiet players pack. I gave it 4 stars because it's awesome for the price! It works well, but I do prefer my Snark clip on. The Joyo tuner is accurate, I compared the results to being plugged into a tuner and it was pretty spot on. Read the instructions though, it is simple to press the button and have it set to a different instrument then guitar or bass. ... show more

It takes a long time to respond to the note you play, and also it's out of tune. I got this, excited to have my own clip on tuner, since they're so easy to use. I tuned up my electric guitar, but immediately noticed it was a little hard to use the tuner. You hit the note then the tuner doesn't respond for a moment then it indicates flat then sharp then in tune. It takes a very long time for the note to register. I thought this was ok because all I had to do was be patient. Then I played alongside another guitar that had been tuned with a brand name tuner, and we sounded out of tune. I checked mine - good according to this Joyo tuner. He checked his - good according to his name brand tuner. But we still sounded off. Then I checked my guitar with his tuner, and it was way off. I checked my guitar with the tuner app on my phone, and the app matched the other tuner. Two out of three say this Joyo doesn't work. Don't get it, just get a name brand, you won't regret it. ... show more

Added this with the purchase of the practice amp I ordered for my daughter’s bass. It won’t pick up E and A is a struggle. This tuner has a hard time with the low vibrations even in bass mode, tried clipping it on in every position possible but nothing until A. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is it works really well for guitar so I’m able to use it my self. No idea on violin or ukulele? But I won’t purchase for a bass guitar. ... show more
