This review covers two CAHAYA products: - 5 in 1 Dual Use Sheet Music Stand - Guitar Stand Floor Universal I bought them together, use them together, and have similar feedback on them, so am cross-posting this review for both products. I am an amateur, non-gigging player and have no need of (and cannot afford!) professional quality stands. However, I am tired of purchasing lower-end products that are poorly-designed and poorly manufactured using inferior materials. CAHAYA has hit the sweet spot offering decent quality stands at affordable prices. This music stand came as part of a kit including a desktop adaptor, travel bag, music clip, and sheet music folder. Personally I have little use for the folder, but it's a nice touch to include it. The desktop adaptor and clip work well when you need them. The bag is great and I use it whenever I need to quickly vacate the family room for visitors. It even accommodates my CAHAYA guitar stand. Everything (except the sheet music folder) breaks down quickly and goes into the bag in about a minute. The most important piece--the music stand itself--is well-designed and well-manufactured. Most important for me is that it easily accommodates thick three-ring binders full of music. It adjusts to any height I need, whether sitting or standing. For daily, same-location amateur use, this music stand kit is a bargain. If you expect to break it down, pack it up, throw it in a vehicle and reassemble it several times a week, you should probably go more high-end. (But if you just don't have the budget to do so, this kit can probably survive some length of pro service as long as you don't abuse it ) The CAHAYA Universal Floor Guitar Stand is similar to the music stand in terms of materials, reliability, and value: an absolute bargain for a single-location amateur. If you expect to set it up in different venues every week where it might get knocked over by a drummer stumbling toward his or her kit or by a drunk audience member, you should probably go more high-end. But this stand is light years better than some of the products that are just $10 cheaper. Some people complain that it holds the guitar too high, making it too unsteady. I was a little concerned about this at first, but I use it for a relatively heavy bass, and have never had a problem. In fact, the cradle appears to be high to accommodate the adjustable tripod legs, so it was designed this way for a reason. My only minor complaint is that you need to completely remove bolts, knobs, nuts, and washers when fully collapsing the stand. If you expect to be doing this a lot, there's a good chance you're going to drop and lose a piece at some point. Otherwise, this stand is a great solution for anybody on a budget that won't be abusing their equipment. ... show more

I have a big binder full of music that I transport when I play. It is quite heavy. In the past I took my professional music stand, but it is very cumbersome to transport. I bought this because it fits nicely into the carry bag. It goes together fairly easily and it holds my heavy binder without collapsing, as long as I tighten the screws. I just purchased this new stand to replace the Stagg stand I've been using for the last few years. I've given the new one just 4 stars as I've only used the new stand once and that was indoors. I am the lead vocalist with a local band and we do a lot of gigs outside. I live in Nebraska and we have a lot of windy days. In fact the last time we played the wind was so strong that it ripped the portable canopy we were under from it's supports and sent it sailing out of the parking lot and down the street. It almost took out our fiddle player and her instrument. Luckily she ducked just in time. My other stand was blown completely over sending my music book flying along with everything else. I'll add to this review in a few months when I have a better idea of how it will stand up. Now as far as this new stand is concerned, it appears to be very well constructed, and is very easy to assemble. One of the features I Really like about it is that the music shelf can be used as a tabletop or desk top easel. The shelf easily accommodates my 3 inch binder with all of my music, and the built in arms that hold the pages in place eliminates the need, so far, to have to resort to clothes pins to keep pages in place. This stand was also a lot cheaper in price: $27.00 aa opposed to $35.00. The stand also comes with it's own carry bag that is also of good construction. This is a very sturdy music stand. Easily adjusts to the perfect height and angle. It has spring-loaded sheet holders at the bottom. I tuck them under the bottom ledge to get the out of the way since I probably won't use them. The attachment mechanism works really well and makes it easy to switch between the stand and the desktop "foot". Solid product at a great price. ... show more

For the price, this is a great deal. The stand is very sturdy and adjustable. I was skeptical about the bag but it’s actually decent quality for what it is. The sheet music holder is nice, too. One con: The included clip is extremely flimsy and doesn’t work. I feel like the metal spring isn’t the right gauge or something, so the clip doesn’t open properly.
