  • Works perfectly
No speed or imagine quality degradation that I can notice. Fits snug and has a satisfying click when attached just wish it wasn't so expensive, but at least you can feel the quality

  • Love it! It's expensive, but worth it! Just get it!
Love this adapter. I wanted to go out of my way and get the more expensive option for the lens adapter when getting my Canon R5 to use my L series EF lenses. The performance is awesome and the added control ring feature (completely customizable) is AWESOME. I know it's pricey guys, but if you're going to be using EF lenses on your RF mount, just do yourself a favor and get the best quality option so you can at least have the closest thing to an actual RF lens. If it's not necessary for you, I get it, but I have so many friends who use off brand adapters, and it just ruins the performance of the lenses. Not to mention, this adapter looks so DOPE on my R5... it doesn't even feel like I'm using an adapter, it genuinely feels like an extension of my camera! :) ... show more

  • Much needed for my old lenses.
I recently had to upgrade from a Canon 5D Mark II to a Canon Eos R5. Since I was strapped for cash and couldn’t buy new lenses along with the new camera body I bought this mount adapter to use with my old EF lenses. It’s small enough that it doesn’t add much weight, but it mounts securely and easily and seems very durable. My focus still works well with it. I haven’t had any issues with its stability at all. I’m very happy with this purchase as it helped me make the leap to a new camera without coating a fortune. ... show more

  • This adapter has worked flawlessly
There is nothing I do not like about this adapter, except the price. I wanted to stick with Canon products so I was willing to pay more for guaranteed compatibility. This adapter has saved me a lot of money as there is no way I could afford that change all of my EF lenses to the new RF style. I am not a professional photographer and this adapter gave me the opportunity to replace my lenses as I am able to afford new ones without losing any of the functionality of my EF lenses. I did not buy the cheapest lens adapter but I did buy the middle of the Canon offering. ... show more

  • Works well, might be fine with the basic adapter.
I got this to adapt my older EF lenses to my EOS R6 and R5. And while it works, I am finding that I have no real use for the control ring, as both those cameras have three adjustment wheels instead of the usual 2. My plan was to use the ring for ISO control, but I can just use the third dial on the back of either camera to do so. I set it to use exposure compensation instead, and do not like that I have to be metering in order to adjust it, meaning I have to be holding in the shutter release or BBF or it will do nothing. I know some that use it to switch AF modes, but I find that I can cycle the modes just fine with the multi-button by the shutter. Really, I probably could have saved the money and just got the basic adapter that has no control ring. I will say the build quality is very good, and I don’t notice any kind of loss in AF speed or performance. If anything, all my older lenses, even the third party lenses by Sigma and Tamron, perform at least as well on my R6 and R5 with this adapter, and in the case of the third party lenses, it seems the AF is more accurate than they were on my older DSLR bodies. If you want spot on AF even with adapted lenses, mirrorless is the way to go. But you don’t have to get the control ring adapter for twice the price though if you have an R5 or R6, as they have enough built in controls. You can just use the Basic adapter, unless you really just want that additional control. Same goes for future releases that have at least three adjustment dials on them, like the R3 and R1. Of note, if you have the older R or RP cameras, or the new R7 or R10 APS-C cameras, then the ring is a bit more useful, since they lack the same amount of controls the more expensive cameras have (only 2 adjustment dials). So if you have one of those cameras, or possibly a future release that also lacks additional dial, it might be worth the additional cost. Or if you just want the additional dial that is fine too. It can be programed to use functions other than ISO and EV. ... show more

  • Canon Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R
Recently, I purchased the Canon EOS R50 Camera for my birthday. I have owned the Canon Rebel t3i and t7i for several years but I wanted a less heavier camera since I do not always like using a iPhone for taking pictures, buying the control ring is an added luxury. I am not a professional photographer but since I have retired it's just a hobby and fun for me to do something else while out and about other than sit with a crochet hook or knitting needles with my hands in motion working a a scarf while in public. The control ring works as described I am happy with my purchase and to be an option that is compatible with Canon. ... show more

  • Fantastic!
Reasoning for the 4 instead of 5 stars will be at the end of the review. This adapter is awesome. I recently purchased a canon r7. With the r7 being a asp-c sensor camera there aren't a large amount of ef mount lenses designed for crop sensor cameras. This adapter opens up a whole new world of lenses for any crop sensor user. Sigma has numerous lenses made for asp-c sensors. The reasoning I gave 4 stars is that with the sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens (heavy lens) their isn't 100% complete stability. If I grab my camera body and out a hand on my lens, I can every so slightly wiggle the lens back and forth on the mount. (Mind you when I say slightly it's legit like minimal movement, but there is still movement) unsure if it's the mount I get or if they all would do this. But besides that great product. ... show more

  • Excellent Canon EF To EOS R with Control Ring
This review is for "Canon Mount Adapter EF - EOS R, Compatible with EOS RP, EOS R, EOS R6, EOS R5" It works flawlessly with all my Canon EF lenses, old or new! I'm using it with new Canon EOS R7. At $200 plus tax, it's more expensive than the cheapest adapter that can do a similar job but without the control ring. There is a Canon brand adapter at $100 without the control ring. Canon Brand adapters, while it is the best guarantee for the maximum compatibility with Canon lenses (I don't own anything other than lenses) they are about double the price of the after market adapters out there. ... show more
