What a cool kit! I chose to review the SOLIGT 60 Cell Seed Starter Kit with Grow Light and Heat Mat, Seed Starter Tray. I don't know how they fit all of that stuff in the box because I can't fit it back in the box! I was happy to see that everything was there and is ready to start those plants for those of us who live in the North! I think it's economical and decently made. The plastic is a little thin on everything, but it's not a bad deal. If you are planning to grow anything that needs better lighting, this isn't the kit for you. I'm going to get a lot of use out of this and it's not bad looking on the counter either! It also has a clip mount for the light in case you are using a tent to grow your veggies. Again, I stress, it's not for plants that need strong full spectrum light. Would I recommend it? Yes! I'm getting a head start on tomato plants this year! THANKS AMAZON VINE PROGRAM! ... show more

    • Thin plastic seed tray.
This kit has everything one needs for spouting seeds, and is especially valuable in areas like mine with a shorter growing season. I have seeds that require a minimum soil temperature to germinate, so the heating pad is essential. The grow lights give control over how much light you want, but I expect to only use it at full brightness so that feature is less useful. The timer function however is essential so you don't have to remember to turn it on and off everyday. It can only be set for 4, 8, or 12 days each day with the starting time each day of when you first start the timer. The dome is around 4 inches tall, so you'll need to remove it when plants get to that height, or move the plants outdoors. The one thing I don't like is the seed tray. It's very thin plastic that won't take much abuse before cracking, and transplanting the plants will be difficult because there isn't a way to easily pop the dirt out like some trays with a flexible bottom. And since it's all one tray, it can't be simply tipped to the side to slide it out. As far as the value goes, it seems a little pricey due to the low quality seed tray, but the lights and heating pad can be used with any other seed trays you might have, so at least part of the kit should last a while. ... show more

I received the SOLIGT 60 Cell Seed Starter Kit with Grow Light and Heat Mat, Seed Starter Tray with Higher 4.3” Humidity Dome, Flexible Light Positioning for Seed Starting & Seedling Growth. Wow - an impressive set. This will be the one and only seed starter I need to get my herb garden going this year. With 60 cells, I'll have enough room to get everything going. With three grow lights and a warming pad, plus a humidity dome with adjustable vents - you need nothing else (short of soil and seeds of course) to get your full garden going. I have three planters on my balcony and they will be full this spring. At $50 ($45 with a 10% coupon that was available when I received this), this is more than some other seed starters - but the inclusion of the lights, the warming pad and the fact that the tray/dome are very hefty/solid - you'll get more than a year or two out of this, I can see this lasting for many growing seasons. ... show more

This is a great set here. A seed starter tray with a large humidity dome. Now I don't have to improvise with a make-shift dome over my seedlings. The 60 cell is a decent amount. The grow light and the heat mat are a great addition. Everything that seedlings need is included in this set. The price is decent for the set as well. This starter is a very simple design. It is made of 3 pieces, a clear cover, a 60 well starter piece and a bottom piece that catches water. Atop the cover are two vents for humidity control. The light is a clip on light that has 3 heads. It comes with 2 metal pieces that enable it to be slid under the bottom of the starter rather than being clipped. Also included is a warming pad with very specific instructions about not getting it wet. It would be nice to have something that could take a little water with it being for growing seeds, there will invariably be water nearby. The light has a 5 dimmer settings and 3 timer settings, 4, 8 & 12 hours. ... show more
