When I first saw this I thought it was those rubberized stretchy resistance bands so prevalent in the exercise world. These are not those these are heavy canvas and strong Metal Carabineers. It comes packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box and packed in a mesh bag. There is a note from the founder of the Brand telling you about the customer service and the one year warranty. It comes with a small workout guide explaining how to set up the kit and adjustments you can make. There is also a large poster showing something like 40 images on how to use the kit to target certain areas of your body. I have been mostly using a treadmill this will help me mix it up and keep motivated I hope. Very well made and should last a long time ... show more

These are pretty close to the original TRX straps. I do like the fact that they are modular with the additional carabiner clips. As it hangs, it's just a little longer than the original TRX, but still very usable. The wall chart is very handy as a reference, but it does not lay out an exercise program for you to follow. There's plenty to find on the internet and then use the wall chart as a reference to help you fine tune the workout program to fit your needs. So far it's held up very well to every other day workouts. I prefer the rubber handles over the original foam ones on the TRX. After sweating for a while, they're still not slippery and they don't hold the moisture or odor like the TRX does. The mesh storage bag is also nice to help the air flow in there to keep it from smelling funky. Keep in mind that whatever you anchor the system to should be able to support three times the force being used. So if you're 250 lb doing an exercise that bears most of your weight, the anchor should be able to support 750 lb. That might not work well for some hollow core doors. There's also a 400 lb max body weight load limit. Overall it's a great setup at a fraction of the big name brand. ... show more

When I opened the box, I was a little worried that I would have trouble fitting this together. As it turned out, the directions for assembly are clear and the assembly itself is simple. The only thing that gave me a bit of trouble during assembly was that one of the carbiners was stuck in the closed position. A quick tap with a hammer and it was fine. The carbiner was not damaged at all; it was just sticky the first time I tried to use it and is fine now. These straps are very similar to the TRX equipment in my fitness club and are the same heavy duty quality. I feel comfortable leaning way back using the straps; the heaviness of the mesh and carbiners and the way the set is put together give me confidence that this will hold up during use. The grips are quite comfortable - even more so than the commercial ones in my fitness club. It is very easy to adjust the length of the straps and the range of adjustment is sufficiently large. I did not get this for the booklet; I have taken TRX classes and had a good idea of what to do. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the exercise booklet was clear, helpful, and included tips for varying the intensity of the exercises. I am using this indoors with the door anchor. I was skeptical when I first saw the design of the anchor but it gives a very secure hold without damaging the paint on the door at all. ... show more

I'm an active person, but not a fan of gyms. Hiking and biking are great for cardio, but not great for full-body maintenance. I've used flexible bands for a long time, but they can have significant variability and durability issues. This resistance training system allows for isotonic and isometric exercises and it's good quality. The carabiners and cams work well and are quite beefy. The webbing is very strong. The set-up is very configurable and the guide poster is extremely helpful. It arrives in a nice box, with a nice travel bag. There's an additional strap that can go around a tree, beam, etc., so if you like to exercise outside, you won't need to find a doorway. There's also a very nice introduction letter, that gives the sense this company wants to support their product and customers. Be sure to assess the amount of space you have and also focus on which way your doors swing. When using this kit, you'll need to set it up so the kit and door pulls against the doorway frame/jam, versus pulling away. For example, setting the kit up on the other side of the door in the picture would put too much stress on the door. You'll also want to have enough space in front of the door, at least your height, plus maybe a foot, or so, for some of the exercises. ... show more

I ordered this Home Resistance Training Kit after a shoulder surgery recovery to help with both flexibility and strength. I was hopeful it would last for the anticipated six-month recovery period, but I feel like these will last a lifetime! The strap construction is very thick and sturdy. The metal hooks, while it feels like they are aluminum or some other type of soft metal, is very thick and have a positive latch that contributes to its strength. The handles are a larger diameter than other exercises handle I've seen, but not overly so. The over the door connector has a nice large diameter hard foam stop, so I have no fear of it failing. My only caution would be that when using the over the door stop to make sure you are pulling against the "closed" side of the door. This way the door stop helps to support your weight, instead of solely relying on the door latch itself. It does come with a handy pouch for storage, which I can see being beneficial when traveling. However, note that the entire setup is heavier than expected, almost 4 lbs. Not that 4 lbs. is heavy, but if you are carrying it for an extended period, you might regret it. ... show more
