Features

  • Includes one 100 foot roll of 6" wide (black) PVC coated, galvanized welded steel mesh and 50 stainless steel J-Hook clips.
  • Helps protect solar panels from rodents and nesting birds with wire screening. Does not violate panel integrity. Installs quickly and easily with standard linesman pliers. Mesh is removable without damage to solar panel system.
  • 303 Stainless Steel J-Hook easily attaches to the solar panel frames and can easily be trimmed or bent after assembly. Clips are Made in the USA.
  • 304 Stainless Steel Washers will firmly hold wire mesh screen to the module assembly preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires and birds from building nests under the solar panel.
  • Mesh dimension is 1/2 x 1/2 . DFARS compliant.

Description

Manufactured by Heyco Products, these kits of PVC-coated wire mesh and accompanying stainless steel clips can be installed on almost all solar panel systems to provide protection against unwanted birds, pigeons, and furry creatures. Kit consists of one 100 foot roll of 6” mesh, (Heyco S6466), and 50 pieces of stainless steel J-Hook clips (Heyco S6437). Helps protect solar panels from rodents and nesting birds with wire screening. Does not violate panel integrity. Installs quickly and easily with standard linesman pliers. Constructed from 303 and 304 Stainless Steel for maximum endurance to outdoor elements. 303 Stainless Steel J-Hook easily attaches to the solar panel frames and can easily be trimmed or bent after assembly. 304 Stainless Steel Washers will firmly hold wire mesh screen to the module assembly preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires and birds from building nests under the solar panel.

It took me a few minutes to figure out what to grab hold of with the hooks. Once that was done installation was a breeze. Doing the lower part of my solar panels was harder than any other part of the solar panels as there is a lip on that part of the panels. Finding the hook grabbing area under the lip and pulling to add tension to push in the holders was harder than I thought is was going to be. After a few tries I got it down and a section of 40' of my house took me less than an hour to complete. Moving ladders and carrying up pins and pliers and mesh took the longest time. ... show more

I ordered two cases but one of the two must have been a prior return going by the taping and the missing 50 hooks… Otherwise no problem…!!

    • Only part of the order was delivered two times in a row.

The product itself is good, but two times in a row I received the roll of mesh WITHOUT J_HOOKS even though it is included in the product description and the price. I have to send it back again and reorder it again a third time. I am very unhappy and annoyed.
