When I first opened the box I was impressed with case and quality of fuse holders and circuit breakers. Before I installed I noticed a PV negative wire that was not in the Buss bar. I installed it properly, then checked the torque on all the fasteners. Nearly all the black wires were not secure. I tightened the all. Seems to work good now except for black wire to surge was routed in front of the surge supressor.. (black wire on right in attached photo). Unless I push it in and press door tightly latches won't clip. I'm sure I could probably remove the surge supressor and reroute black wire as shown in amazon images of unit but that will be another day. For now it is working well. Another minor nit is the PV connectors on the box are very close togather. Really hard to remove a PV wire once it is installed. This is common with similar items but I wish they gave us a little more room. ... show more

    • Positive and negative labeled incorrectly
Great product simple installation my only concern is my polarities were labeled incorrectly on the on off switch. The on off positive and negative were backwards although on the inside of the door it is labeled correctly

Right away, I noticed the fuse holders (white and red boxes) said 20a and thought "oh no". When I opened them up to swap for smaller 10a fuses, I saw they already have them installed. But I also know enough that if someone were to use 20a fuses in this box, the total current (80a) would exceed the breaker capacity (63a) and this box would have constant tripping of the breaker. So don't panic; check the FUSES inside the holders. That is what really makes or breaks the safety aspect, rather than the number on the outside of the fuse holder. ... show more
