The installation process was a little tricky due to unclear installation instructions, but I was able to figure it out after reaching out to customer support. I love this bed cover. Installed it in minutes! I had a friend help me lift and lay the folded cover onto the truck bed near the cab (it weighs about 80 pounds). After setting the cover on the cab end of the truck bed, the rest was all me. Didn’t need any help. The mounting rods and brackets are built in to the bed cover! No assembly or tools required! I simply adjusted them to fit the width of my bed, then tightened them down to secure the bed cover to the bed. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes. After pulling my truck back out into the driveway, it rained heavily. After the rain, I opened the tailgate and the bed was BONE dry. The built-in water tight seal did its job. As some others mentioned, the installation was straightforward, even for a first-time truck owner. The one part that I probably overthought during installation was the use of an additional seal if the front bed is not level with bed sides. I have had this cover on for a little over 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any additional noise. I have had to fold the cover to carry some larger items, and this is where I think some improvements could be made after looking at some other options while getting my windows tinted. To fold this cover up, if you are by yourself, you will find that you have to walk around the truck about 3 times, if you plan it right. Unlatch Rear Left, then walk around to Rear Right, fold the rear section, then unlatch Mid Right, walk around to unlatch Mid left, fold, then buckle left, walk around to buckle right. Some other options I've seen had a pull-cord to release both sides at the same time. I haven't used them beyond in the showroom so it's possible they aren't as secure as the cam clamps on this cover, just an observation about the lack of efficiency if you are trying to load something up. I also ended up having to spontaneously remove the cover as an item I purchased was in a larger got than expected and found that the cover will not fit up against the side of the 5.5' bed, so I will need to be aware of that. I was able to angle it for this time. I did take it through the car wash the night it was installed and there was a little water that got through, but likely through the gap around the tailgate. I have since purchased some additional weather stripping for those gaps, still a few drops of spray made it through. I have not noticed any discernable difference in fuel mileage, but most of my driving is either short interstate or suburban driving where the aerodynamics of the bed are less likely to have an impact. ... show more

This is a lot cheaper than the brands that I was referred to. It didn’t take any time to install but do suggest two people so you can adjust and line up easier. It’s been 3 months and I’ve yet to notice any water leaking into the bed. My only issue with it is you have to unlatch one side at a time so if you’re folding it all the way back you make two trips around truck to do that. ... show more

I bought this cover for my Tundra in October and installed it December 2. Unit arrived and didn’t appear damaged in any way. Set it aside and installed it a few weeks later. Upon first use, I heard a slight pop come from one of the hinges. I thought no big deal, applied a little lube and it seemed to help temporarily. It’s now approximately 4 months into service, and every time I fold the second panel back there is a very loud and distinct popping sound from the hinge and it is now starting to bend and deform (shown in photo). As it is getting progressively louder and harder to fold, I’m fully expecting it to snap apart at the hinge and become useless. Since Amazon only allows 30 day returns and Calffree has no website, I’m stuck with this pile of Chinese crap. Save yourself grief and buy something better from a retailer who sells and stands behind better products. I’m going to see if I can get an exchange, but it’s not looking good. Will update if/when my issue gets resolved. 4/25/2024: update Was able to contact the seller through Amazon, not directly. Although I was disappointed with the issue I had with this cover, once I was able to contact the seller they handled the issue. I was given the choice of an exchange or refund. I chose the refund. I’m going to get something a little beefier. I must say, the seller stood behind the lifetime warranty that this product has. I simply sent a photo of my issue and an explanation. That being said, I would rate the seller 5 stars. Cannot fault the seller for a manufacturing defect. ... show more

The product arrived well packaged and intact. For a standard bed tundra the pieces don’t align in a water tight manner even with the added adhesive. The 3m seals peeled off within 12 hours. Because of that there is noticeable leakage on either end. If you have a rail kit in your truck bed you will need to purchase additional clips to use this product. I have 4 always on - so I went without the middle row being latched to install it when it arrived. There was some dusty foot print on the top of the bed cover. It looked Like someone in the factory walked on or jumped on one of the panels. There was no damage and they seem pretty sturdy. The product is sufficient enough to meet my needs at the price. I’m going to look for some better adhesive strips to make a water tight seal, but it should be good enough for most buyers. ... show more
