  • Does what I... knead
Style: Black SL-256
I wasn't sure when I bought this if it could do what I needed it to do which is loosen a continuously tight muscle that runs on my lower right side of my spine caused from a tight psoas pulling my lower spine to one side. But it does the trick overall. My thoughts... PROS- -Hard kneading. Feels great and really gets in there. If you're sensitive to hard kneading, than maybe try the "gel" nodule version of this same product. -Targeted area. I really enjoy this feature. Lets me stop the nodules from rolling all the way up. You can also fine-tune that area to only go up and down just a few inches either way using the arrow buttons. -Heat. While I've read in reviews that this function doesn't work well, I disagree to a certain extent. It takes a while for the heat to be noticed. Definitely not during one 15 min session. But after during the second, you can really feel it. I like it. -Adaptability. You can adapt this thing to use how is most comfortable for you. I use it on the bed. Just make sure it's level and/or not dipping to one side. Place it more in the middle of the bed. While using this in a chair maybe good for most, you'll get more relief using your body weight lying on it. -Light-weight and portable. You could take this thing any where. -Lasting quality? I've only had it less than a week so far. I'll update as I go. CONS- -Length of back section. I'm 5'10" with a long torso and depending how I lay on it, I have to shift my body up or down to get it to target how I want. But it is adaptable like I said. I'm really only using this for my mid to lower back. I do think anyone over 6' may have difficulty finding their perfect settings. -Vibration. It's useless unless you like your hamstring area vibrated. Does NOT vibrate the whole product. *SOME THINGS I REALLY LIKED* -The buzzing. This isn't a vibration per say. It's a very mild low-level buzzing probably from the motor that works the nodules. Believe it or not, it does something special. Kind of decentises the area, or maybe even activates blood flow. Not sure how to explain it, but it feels great. -I was able to manipulate this in a way to make it work for the neck and upper shoulder area by folding the lower seat portion under the back portion and laying my head on the lower edge of the back portion. By using the controls and fine-tuning with the arrows, I was able to get a decent neck and shoulder area massage. You just have to mess with it. FINAL THOUGHTS This product is great so far. It does just what I needed it to do and more with creative thought. I do believe the Pros out-weigh the Cons. I don't really use this in the way it's meant to be used, so I am fully expecting it to not last as long as it should. But I'll take what I can get. ... show more

  • It’s Probably OK for Short People
Style: Grey Black SL-256G
So let’s start with the obvious—I recently discovered I’m not as young as I used to be when our family returned from our first ever international trip (love you Tokyo, but that hotel bed was as comfortable as concrete). My teenagers positioned me in the middle seat for 11 hours, used me as a pillow, and then Canada made us repeat 8 hours of our day in what can only be described as the worst layover known to mankind before boarding a final flight to Chicago only to lad at the ass-crack of dawn. Therefore, I’d been looking forward to Prime Days with the same excitement and anticipation as a kid in a candy store with a sugar addiction and an unlimited budget. I bought this model because it would fit my computer chair and also others had said they used it reclined or lying down. Throw in a cabana and someone to bring me drinks with little umbrellas in them and I could envision myself never moving again. The Prime Day price was not bad. I think it was even a lightning deal, bringing the total cost with tax to $71.88, which is very budget friendly for someone who is looking to sell a kidney on the black market as her oldest begins college this fall. The device is well made, the headrest and faux leather pad are removable as they are attached with Velcro. The heating pad is located only in the butt/thigh portion which is nice, but would feel even nicer on my lower back. The massager rollers work well, and move in a circular fashion, giving you a deep kneading along your spine. However, if you have a long torso, of are someone of basic average height, the rollers will only go up as far as between the shoulder blades and down as far as your waist—maybe a tad lower—but definitely not the lower lumbar spine. When looking at the photo, the rollers do not go higher than the head cushion, and on my 5’8” frame, when I sat down the head cushion came to the back of my neck. If I leaned my head back and tipped back in my chair, it would be like I was at the hair salon and the cushion is where they wrap the towel around your neck and then put on the cape. As I said, the other functions are basically fine, and the parts that did get a massage felt ok, but if you lay your whole weight on the pad, you slow up the gears. I’m not thin. I like eating, and I could stand to lose many pounds. But I’m also not a sumo wrestler. Even slightly reclined on the couch the knobs felt sluggish. So…if you are vertically challenged, tend to shop in the “petite” section, have difficulty reaching the upper kitchen cabinets, have found yourself looked down on quite a bit, still get carded after age 43, or spent your youth being in the front row when organized according to height—this massage chair is likely very much ideal for you and will be a good value for your money. If, like me you are of average height—or if you are an over achiever and went the route of basketball player, volleyball player, or runway model, join me in trying to find something else to soothe that sore back. ... show more

  • Very Relaxing!
Style: Black SL-256
I've had back issues for at least 30 years. I bought this massager because it had excellent reviews. I've only used it once since I just received it. So far, it works great! I was surprised how deep the nodules massage into your whole back. I did notice that the massagers up at the top near the neck are hard to get too my neck. I tried it with and without the attached pillow cushion but it didn't make a difference. I really have to push my head back when the massager reaches the top so it can get my neck. I'm 5'6 and it's perfect for my build. So far I'm happy with it and look forward to using it frequently! ... show more
