This was a great finish to a relaxing evening! Quick to put together and get started. It burned very efficiently. I was honestly surprised at the heat that it put off. Marshmallows roasted and good company. I am sure it will be easy clean up and I will look forward to using it again soon!

We initially bought this as a portable campfire for when we camp at the drag strip. The idea being bags of pellets were easier to transport then fire wood. Once the pellets are lit the fire burns really hot but any attempt to add pellets is more likely to snuff the fire and cause lots of smoke before it relights. It required a very close eye and was extremely frustrating. Our next attempt was with hickory wood chunks for a smoker. We split a fire log and started it. Then let it burn for 30 minutes from that point we just added a couple chucks of hickory as needed. One bag of chunks lasts 2-3 hours and costs about the same as a bundle of split wood. Because of the way this pit "breathes" the coals stay red and put off lots of heat until consumed. For the price if you want a fire pit that can transport very easy I would recommend this one.
