  • Really nice addition to my patio table
I am really impressed with this little tabletop fire pit. I have a larger name-brand smokeless fire pit for the yard and this one works the same way. The double wall allows air to be super-heated before exiting though the afterburner holes near the top of the fire pit. This super heated air allows for a secondary combustion (afterburn) of the unburned materials (ie smoke). This pit works very well for this and the afterburner effect is on full display as little jets of fire look like they're shooting out of the vent holes into the center of the burn area. It also comes with a pellet adapter so you can burn wood pellets or stick wood. The stick wood method would be a bit tedious as kindling that size will burn fast and it will need to be cut down to about 8" or less to fit. The pellets work much better and create a really nice flame with no flying embers. Either way the smokeless element works really well on this little guy and I saw zero smoke after the first minute or two. It also comes with a scoop to add pellets while it is lit which is a nice touch and very useful. Most of the times I've used it so far has been as a table centerpiece while eating dinner and filling it up with pellets per instructions to light (about halfway up) and then adding no more provides about 30-40 minutes of nice flame. It's made from stamped stainless steel which is tack welded and the pellet adapter is riveted together. For this reason I am really glad they included a nice storage bag as this probably shouldn't be left exposed to the elements. The feet fold out from the bottom and stay cool until the fire burns down to the bottom then they start to heat up. I've never had them get hot enough to burn my fingers but it's enough of a concern that I use a silicon baking mat under it on my wooden table just in case. ... show more

  • Managed properly it is virtually smokeless.
My stove came with an extra rivet pin. Easily removed and after inspection everything functioned as expected. Recommend inspecting components during assembly before first use. I had much better performance with this stove using wood over pellets. Key I found with pellets is add more while there is still good flame above the shield. Waiting to long smothers pellets in stove and it becomes a smoke factory. Only way to keep from smoking yourself and neighbors out is add fire...I used a propane torch to catch new layer of pellets. Once new layer of pellets catch the unit goes back to virtually smokeless. I didn't notice this issue using wood. With wood you can remove center dome for more capacity. I found pieces of 5" or less work best. Try to keep fuel below upper vent holes for best "smokeless" performance. Very stable on the three retractable legs and included extendable forks for roasting treats. Stove itself gets extremely hot so care must be taken if you need to move it. Bottom stays below 200 F for most part but would definitely recommend a fire resistant mat unless used on stone or metal surfaces. Assembly and cleaning is a breeze. Everything nests inside stove and it includes a storage bag. Great value for what you get. Keeper! ... show more

  • Awesome little table top firepit
I had a little alcohol fire pit that got recalled so I wanted to try something new and found this. I have a smoker so it's great that it can run on wood pellets and it works well! I use it when hanging out in the backyard for ambiance and a little warmth. Im sure will be roasting some marshmallows on it this winter as well! ... show more

  • Not smokeless
Definitely not totally smokeless but pretty cool

  • This is reduced smoke. Not smokeless.
This showed up nicely packaged, and including a carry bag, and sturdy scoop for pellets, and 4 extending 2 prong forks for toasting marshmallows! (Nice touch!) Being advertised as smokeless, my buddy says "Let's light this thing!" It was raining outside and we were in a detached, mostly unfinished garage with the overhead door open. So, we threw in a couple handfuls of sticks and twigs, then hit them for a few seconds with a small blue-bottle blow torch. I was impressed with the flame and heat that such a small amount of sticks produced! The venting holes around the sides really let in the oxygen, allowing it to burn quick and hot! Normally, I'd have expected that pile of sticks to burn 7-10 minutes. They lasted around 3 mins. And, the garage began to cloud up with smoke, and soot began raining down on us. Now, I fully understand that I did not use this unit according to the directions, so most of the above story is written to simply say 'smokeless' is a bit of an overstatement. Use it outdoors as directed and you'll be fine. Also be prepared to feed it more sticks or pellets regularly ... show more

  • Cute, small, convenient, fast burning!
Got this because I wanted something portable for small jobs, without having to drag out and fire up the large propane fire pit. That’s a pain and really not worth getting it all set up just to roast a few weenies with the kids, etc. This is small, easy to handle, and ready to go quickly. It does burn fast, and being small, you gotta keep it fed, but it’s perfect for small jobs and can be placed pretty much anywhere, using common sense, of course. Novelty little item! ... show more

  • Mini it is but it burns great
This is a small fire pit as advertised. That being said if you keep a pile of kindling at the ready it will burn intensely for hours. Be careful where you set it as it acts somewhat like a jet engine! With ample air being fed from below the flames are high and dance beautifully... This is a great gift for any camper or those who want a pretty tabletop fire for their next outdoor gathering! ... show more
