I have used Dr Prepare projection clocks for years. Since I have had them fail pretty quickly, I decided to try a new brand to see how it compares. First off, the instruction manual is WAY easier to understand. It appears to be written in English as opposed to written in Chinese and poorly translated. The projection is very clear at all the distances I tried (5', 10', 15', and 20'). Love that there is a physical button to turn on and off the alarm function so I don't accidentally turn on the alarm when changing the settings. It has 3 different dimness settings, so at night it does not light up the room, but I can still read it during the day. With the Dr Prepare clock, I had to block the display because it was too bright. Finally, the biggest plus is that the clock does not shut off every night at 1am, 2am and 3am like my previous clock did. I wish I was not awake to see it, but it was super irritating to wake up to no projection and have to wait 5 minutes for it to come back on after searching for the correct time. Easy to set up. Directions were easy to follow. I was quite used to my previous projector clock till the outside temp module failed. My only minor issue was the size of the projected time & the temp was much smaller than the previous one I had. I found no adjustments on the clock to adjust the projected size. Dave ... show more

i've had a different brand projection clock for years and there is no comparison to this one. this one connected to the remote sensor immediately. the projection is bright and a good size (i project it to a wall a good 6' away.) the clock itself is colorful and bright and has the forecast also. it is also accurate. why did i wait so long to replace my old one? ... show more

Actually my issue is the same as all the models and brands I could find: you can't 'twist' the projection so laying in bed and looking up, the text is rotated sideways enough to be hard to read (when I am half asleep lol). You can rotate up and down and flip, like all the other brands, but impossible to set in good view of the display and get a good projection on the ceiling. ... show more

If you like seeing the time, in and out temp, and humidity this clock is for you. The numbers are large enough and bright enough for old eyes without glasses to read. It's not so bright though that it lights up the room. I love the convenience of looking up rather than turning on my side to see the time. The temp outside gives you an idea whether to layer or not.     • Tech support has been frustrating.
The directions are long due to lots of features. I have had a small problem and haven't been able to get a quick and easy response from support. I was asked to use my credit card to pay $1. to get an answer to my question. No way! Sounds too much like an attempt to hack.

It’s nice to see the time and temp without rolling over in bed. Very lightweight so it’s easily moved out of place. Will I still with double sided tape. Projection in ceiling is good.

    • As advertised but projection on the ceiling is small
The display is very bright but you can turn it down. We wanted to project this on the ceiling and it is very small compared with the last one we had. It does do a good job with the outside thermometer. WOud prefer larger ceiling projection.
