I bought two of these and also some heavy duty versions for a backyard event. I strung both types from my house to supporting structures. After putting both up, I elected to go with this design for the following reasons: - The heavy duty "industrial" lights just didn't provide the level of elegance that I was looking for. These, while lighter duty, were more appropriate for the finesse of the event; - Given that the lighting went across my patio at about 12 ft above the ground, the thicker gauge industrial lights looked too bulky, almost intrusive. Not what I was looking for. - The narrower spacing between bulbs and lower wattage (I believe these are 1W bulbs spaced 12 inches apart vs 2W bulbs spaced 2 or 3 ft apart) seemed to make for more even lighting, in my opinion. - At the time, industrial gauge lighting was only available in black or green wire, and I preferred white based on the event and the color scheme. - These are 50ft vs the industrial lights at 48ft. I am so glad I had the extra two feet to work with. Spacing and light string span was perfect for my application. I bought a couple of LED outdoor dimmer modules and the result was a beautifully lit event. Recommended! ... show more

This is a good three way lamp. It is a little shorter than I would like, but works well for bedside table. Gives extra plugs for clocks, etc. I like the usb slots for charging my phone and tablet. One caution is movement can cause light to turn on. We have a small fan in the bedroom. Sometimes during the night, there would be enough movement from the fan to turn the lamp on while we were sleeping. That would give us quite a surprise. I moved the lamp from the direct air flow and that solved the problem. I have one and ordered a second. The second one came inside a box with an inner box. The inner box was crushed. I contacted Amazon Customer Service. They immediately sent me a return label. When the lamp was received, I had a refund on my card. I really want a matching lamp so I ordered it again. It will be here in a couple of days. Hopefully this box will not be crushed. I would recommend this lamp. ... show more

    • This lamp has a mind of its own
8/24/19 Update: Within a day of returning the second lamp, the manufacturer contacted me and apologized for the problems I had with the lamp and sent me a new one free of charge to compensate me for my troubles. I did not ask for this and was completely surprised! The new lamp does work properly and I have to commend the company for going out of their way to provide superior customer service. The lamp was very easy to assemble and it provided the right amount of light for my nightstand. That's where the good news ends. After assembling and plugging it in, I turned it off. When I walked past it later, the lamp was on. I thought that maybe one of my kids turned it on to check it out. That turned out to not be the case. I turned it back off and minutes later, it turned itself back on! A few minutes later it shut off! Then it started cycling randomly through the brightness settings. I was quite disappointed with the product at that point, so I made a return through Amazon. When given the choice of returning for a refund or getting an exchange, I opted to give the benefit of the doubt and try an exchange unit. I received the second lamp a couple of days later. I unpackaged and assembled the new lamp expecting a better result. I plugged it in and found the lamp to have the exact same problem! Needless to say, I have returned the lamp for a full refund and am shopping for a different unit. ... show more

    • Perfect for nursery
After looking at many small bedside lamps with both “tap to turn on/off” and the ability to set as dim or brighter, I selected this lamp. It was also 50% off. Bought specifically for when I nurse my newborn son at night to keep the light at my bedside dim to avoid too much stimulation. We liked the lamp so much that I bought two more - one for my husband’s bedside to match my side and one for the nursery for nighttime diaper changes. My only complaint is that the “tap to change brightness” function goes from dim to bright (there are three settings). This means that after I’m done nursing I need to quickly tap the light to cycle through the brighter settings to turn it off without waking my son. It would make more sense to start with the brightest setting so that would only need one more tap to turn it off after nursing with light at its lowest setting. ... show more

Every time I stay in a hotel I always appreciated the USB and mains power ports on the lamp bases, so when it came time to replace my nightstand lamp I only considered those that offered these ports. This lamp is compact, maybe more so than the pictures may suggest. It was well packed yet easy to unpack and very easy to assemble... Just a threaded washer like fixture to secure the shade to the base. A nice extra is that a 3way LED bulb is included which further adds to its value for the money. I really like the touch activated scrolling between the brightness levels...much easier than fiddling with an inconveniently placed rotary switch. The light is bright yet warm and the shade seems to be diffusing it just right. Unlike others I found the difference between the mid and full-on levels significant enough that I would opt for one over the other based on what I am doing at the time. Coupled with the stylish ergonomics I would say that this is a great buy. ... show more

I bought two of these lamps for nightstands in our bedroom. The pictures give a very deceiving idea of the size of these lamps. The flower vase next to the lamp must be about 3inches tall. Pay close attention to the dimensions listed, lamp with shade Is only 14inches tall. The bulb dims as expected in 3 steps, and outlets are nice touch. However the lamp pole coming from the base on one of them is quite noticeably bent. I thought maybe I could straighten it, but metal on base is too stiff to bend straight. After I posted about bent lamp pole, vendor sent replacement.😊 ... show more
