The media could not be loaded. The food thermometer has always been an essential tool in my kitchen, especially when frying chicken drumsticks, roasting chicken, or making roast beef. Since I’m not the most experienced cook, I often rely on online recipes that give exact times and temperatures. But I’ve found that the result is different, even when following the same instructions, the doneness of the meat can vary. This is especially true when frying chicken drumsticks, they might look perfectly golden on the outside, but sometimes, near the bone, the meat is still red and undercooked. That’s why I’ve always depended on a thermometer. This is my first time using a smart food thermometer, it is much more convenient than the traditional kind, where I had to pull the drumsticks out and manually check the temperature. With this one, I can insert it directly into the meat and leave it in the pot, and it will display the real-time temperature. It also provides suggestions for cooking different types of meat, easy to follow along. Whether I’m using the display on the thermometer itself or the app on my phone, it’s easy to follow. The app shows the remaining cooking time and the internal temperature of the meat, it's handy especially for dishes that take an hour or two to cook. The build quality is good, and the controller has a stand on the back, allowing me to place it on the counter for easy viewing. The display is clear, easy to read. No more stabbing the meat from time to time with the old school thermometer. Just put a probe in the medium well and a probe in the mediums, close the lid and watch from your phone or the device itself. Worth every penny. Easy to use and the probe charging is super easy too

Everything almost worked as advertised. The only issue I had was the phone app would disconnect whenever I was out of bluetooth range. That makes sense to me, because bluetooth is about 33 feet of range. The instructions say you can be 500 feet from the controller, but I had to be within that 33 feet or so to use the phone app. Other than that the setting and alarms worked great. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Works great. It even has snap in spots on the back of the unit to store the probes when not in use. We especially love that it's wireless, and that you can monitor two different items separately but simultaneously. It also has a phone app that alerts you of temps,amount other things, and make it all viewable without needing to be AT the smoker and grill. My husband cooks a lot on the smoker, and usually has more than one meat going at a time. This makes it so much easier to cook things exactly how he wants to. ... show more

Had probes in meat on the rotisserie on my grill outside and lid closed. Have a fairly large house. A few wifi access points and almost 100 wireless smart home devices. Long way of saying it's a noisy wireless environment. Took the receiver anywhere in the house and it was still reading the probes. I almost felt like it was making up numbers....like how can this still be reading those tiny things. Key decision factor for me was that the app is not required. I had Yumly before and even as a tech familiar person could never get things to sync. I wanted a display to track temps like I had on wired probes. Hope the product holds up. Really like being able to monitor meat on the rotisserie, that has been a weak spot before. ... show more

I have a similar meat thermometer with one probe, but this is much better and has two. Quickly paired to my phone after downloading the app. The visuals on the phone app look great and responsiveness is immediate. I love how it reminds you of ideal temperatures for different doneness levels of various meats. I used it on Salmon two days in a row and my wife raved about the perfection on the first day (second day I forgot about the probes and walked away from my kitchen and phone, and overcooked the fish lol). Remember to keep the device with you, and it beeps to alert you so you run back to remove the dish from the heat!! Can’t wait to use it in the grill. ... show more
