The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd Ecoviva purchase and I love their high-quality products. This slushie machine takes the cake! It's well-built and comes with very clear directions as well as awesome recipes. And the customer service is fabulous as well. Used it last night to make wine slushies and they were delicious and perfect. After your slushies are done, the unit stays on for several hours to keep it cold and available. It's very important, however, to make sure you have enough sugar in the liquid and/or enough alcohol content to assure they freeze up properly. You'll need at least 14g of sugar for each cup of liquid ... Thats 3.5 tsp of sugar. And there are guidelines for alcohol content as well. Can't wait to use this at our next family gathering. I am very impressed with the Ecoviva slushie machine and I'm looking forward to warmer months so I can mix up a batch of refreshing beverages for my friends and neighbors. It is a very sleek looking machine and the 64 oz of total drink capacity is fine for mixing up a "reasonable" drink quantity. I really like the selection panel - pick your desired frozen beverage and it utilizes pre-set cool and mix settings to get you an optimum product (but it can be adjusted). I mixed up a few chocolate shakes (25oz) just to give it a challenge and it performed very well. The manual comes with a nice mix of recipes and the language is very clear. Just get used to "thickness" = "temperature!" I did remove one star because it is not optimized for cleaning. The mixing chamber (which seals and locks very, very well) with integrated spigot, mixing paddles and condensation tray remove easily and are straightforward to clean although should not go in the dishwasher if you use heated dry. I'd recommend against it anyway because there are places in the mixing chamber that could retain water. The negative - it's hard to clean around and especially under the non-removable cooling element (silver in picture 3) and the bottom of the seal at its rear. To get a 5+ star product, I recommend Ecoviva look at putting a "hinge" at the back of the case, sort of like Kitchenaid mixers have, so you could tilt up the cooling element and clean it easily. Even so, I like it and expect to give it heavy use this summer! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So far I have only used this to make milkshakes and it is awesome. It hardly takes any time at all to be ready to use. It has a lot of different settings for different drinks. There are some recipes included in the instruction manual and the milkshake one turns out great. It has a cleaning mode and all comes apart easily for cleaning. All of the functions seem to actually be different to compensate for ingredients. For an at home machine like this, it is a good price considering how much milkshakes and frozen drinks can add up already made. Great design and functionality. ... show more

Simply put, this machine is awesome! Looks and Quality: very high quality; modern looking; light enough; touch screen controls; small footprint as well (I actually put it right next to my Breville Barista coffee maker and looks great. Ease of Use: Its not as simple to use as using a Keurig, but its great to have especially if you have a pool. Im sure that after learning to mix my favorite drinks, it will become a cinch. Note that for kids drinks it couldnt be easier as can just pour drinks right out of the bottle into the machine Drinks: I only made pina coladas but they were GREAT! And the machine keeps it cold for hours on end (great for me as I sometimes am alone and sip a few drinks throughout the day); it says that you can continuously pour to keep it full if have guests, but I think this will become a learned skill as it takes a little time to freeze up. Cleaning: nobody likes to clean, but suck it up! The drinks are awesome. It has a self cleaning mode that takes about 5 min for basic wash out. And the pieces come apart pretty easily. If you dont get too drunk and rinse after drinking, the cleanup should be simple. ... show more

I was excited about using this machine but did not know that it only works with sugary drinks. There are recipes inside the instruction booklet, with one being a one ingredient soda slushie. I put diet pepsi but the machine turned it all into ice and it was not dispensable. Then I looked at the booklet again and saw some fine print at the bottom that said that it is not made for diet beverages. Since I don't plan on drinking sugar, it won't be of much use to me. Also, the booklet said that a slushie takes an hour, so a soda slushie will probably end up flat. ... show more

WHat can I say other than this is my new favorite thing in my life. I am obsessed with all things slushy and having this is going to make my world so much happier. I am looking forward to summer treats by the pool - pina coladas, cola slushies, fruit slushies! I have tried it once, making a slushy with some commercial syrup I purchased from my favorite local store and I swear, it tastes just like my childhood. It was fairly easy to set up and also easy to clean. I will be using this next to try and make some coffee slushies for a breakfast gathering and I cannot wait! ... show more
