Yes, it’s a little big, but it brews a pot of coffee in very little time, the coffee is hot and tastes way better than our regular home coffee maker. Follow the instructions when you get it and let-r-rip. We have people stop in frequently so it’s great to be able to have some coffee for them. Super easy to use and we are using the same amount of coffee we were using in our Mr. Coffee machine, 6 tablespoons of coffee grounds for 12 cups of coffee. Not to mention, if you want to make tea, just clean out the coffee grounds basket and throw it back in it’s place, put a pot under it and dump some water in, half a pot is plenty for a couple cups of hot water really fast for tea. It makes great coffee but takes about 15 to 20 Mins to the first heat up when first turned on, so it is not for those who are in a hurry in the Mornings After it is heated up you can make pot after pot with the only waiting time it for it to drip into the pot which doesn't take long at all

I had an older office coffee maker, bought at a yard sale. Made coffee FAST! I got used to that very quickly. When it died I needed a replacement. I wasn't used to waiting for... ev... er for a pot of coffee. This brews a pot in about three minutes. I grind my own and know more coffee is needed because of the fast brew. It makes a great cup of coffee. It did get LOUD after a while. I just poured about two cups of white vinegar in a carafe and the rest filled with water and brewed through a filter to catch anything. Then made about 5 pots of hot water. Since it takes such a short time to brew a pot, it wasn't a horrible experience. I have used the long spring cleaner thingy and that gets HOT! I like the extra warmer, but haven't used it much (except at the holidays, when it was wonderful). I have moved to a much smaller place but this big coffee maker had to come too. Makes coffee daily and plenty of hot water for any other needs. I like the extra decanter, as the coffee starts brewing as soon as the water is poured. Well worth the $$$ ... show more

Plugged in the unit and followed the initial steps for set up. The unit leaks where the middle black metal meets the bottom stainless section. The water seeps through every time I make coffee. I called Bunn and they said I have to send it in or return it. Also there is a strong smell of burning plastic coming from the unit. This started right away, not sure what the deal is there. I returned it and ordered a new one as I believe I have got a defective unit. We will see ... show more

    • Simple and Delicious No-Frills Coffee

We love our coffee, and working remotely drink enough that we had two machines going at home every morning. We decided to give the Bunn VPR Commercial series a try and we are not disappointed! Having two hot decanters full of our favorite life-giving elixir of joy is delightful. Pros: fast, pour over brew with excellent flavor. You’ll have a full pot of delicious coffee in about two minutes. Cons: because it’s always hot (no plumbing required) you have to make a full pot every time, and need to let the water heat up before you make a second pot. Traditional Bunn 8-12 cup filters are too small for this machine-you’ll need the larger commercial 12 cup filters with wide bottom and higher sides or you’ll end up with grinds in your cup. And if you’re a fan of auto shut off, you’ll have to remember to turn off your burners within a reasonable time or you’ll end up with other problems. Overall, it’s very simple to use and makes a fantastic pot of coffee (or two)! ... show more

    • Now THAT’S a Coffee Maker!

We got this for a small office (20 people) with a caffeine addiction. This is actually an impressive machine. Ours came slightly damaged in shipping, but nothing a hammer couldn’t straighten back out. The setup is pretty darn simple because there’s not a million pieces and knobs. You fill the tank with another pitcher of water when you want more coffee. For some people in my office – that took a little getting used to as more than one office member has made a HUGE mess pouring water into the tank without having a pitcher in the bottom part. The operation really couldn’t be more simple though. Turn on the warmers if you want, or don’t, but making a pot of coffee is as easy as putting coffee in the filter, and running a pot of coffee through. We live in a high-altitude environment, and had to figure out how to adjust the thermostat so that the water gets the right temperature, which was easy except that it would have been very nice to have a little gauge to make sure we got it to the right temperature. We did a lot of trial and error trying to find the right temperature, but once we got there – it was easy. Everyone is satisfied with the coffee and this thing is being used a lot now. So overall, we think it’s a great workhorse. If I had a comment I would say it’s almost too simple. But if you’re just looking for a traditional coffee maker for a bunch of people – this is just fine. ... show more
