I've installed many blinds in my house, so I know what works and what doesn't -- and these are very easy to install. The installation is flexible so you have some wiggle room in terms of measurement. I ordered 32" W blinds for a 33" window and they were perfect so I had room to work. In terms of functionality, the chain moves smoothly which makes them easy to operate. The sheerness is perfect for what I wanted: privacy without being too dark or blackout. They're really nice for my living room. I will say that the screws that come with the blinds aren't the highest quality, so I used my own 1" cabinet screws to prevent stripping the heads. I'd also recommend predrilling the screw holes. I got some of these shades for my 3 season porch windows. I wanted to stop the sun from fading the couch out there. They are easy to install and work well. They look nice and allow light without the direct sun spots hitting the couch. You can't see through them. I am concerned that the plastic mounting parts might crack and break with the heat and cold from the porch, but we will have to wait and see. ... show more

Good price and quality. Fairly easy to install. But that one issue? On the cord, there is a spot where two beads are connected by a piece of plastic. This piece inhibits the ability to pull the cord through the holding clasp, as it is too big. We tried other ways to hold the cord, various hooks etc. But unfortunately that small bit of plastic is completely problematic. So strange that you cannot move that piece to the ideal position, and seemingly no way to resolve this issue, which may be why the seller has yet to respond. Pull the other one. ... show more

    • As described, but some issues

I ordered two of these for two windows in my study, but only recieved one. I wanted to mount them inside the frame and they fit, but the top, because of the bracket and roller, left an inch or more of the window exposed. Around the sides, there was a half inch or so exposed because of the roller being wider than the shade. I expected this, but thought the bracket would fit closer at the top. Because my windows are 33 1/2" wide, I was not able to order the exact size. I understood this, but the issue at the top was unacceptable. The shade itself is reasonably good quality and once I figured out the installation, not difficult to mount. The instructions were not as clear as could be and left out a couple of important factors. For instance, they only mention 2 parts, but actually there are four. It also tells you to mark the location, but it is a two person job: one to hold the shade plus the bracket in place and another to mark the location. You can't hold it all up and mark it at the same time, and you can't do it precisely by measuring. I did eventually figure it out by looking at it carefully, and it works well. The shade wasn't quite as translucent as I'd hoped for, and that became too many issues for me to deal with. I never did receive the missing shade and the customer service was terrible. The company kept asking me to send photos of the shade I didn't receive, and gave me a refund for only one shade, despite my continued insistence that I only received one. Finally, I had to file an A-Z refund request. ... show more
