This foldable camping cot with pad is just what I was looking for. I like that the pad itself is soft and it has straps to hold it onto the cot so it does not slip off. I like that the cot is easy to open up and set up, and if you follow the instructions on how to close it down, it is a breeze. The cot folds up very nicely and has a strap to secure it, and it fits into the bag with no problems. The only thing that I would have liked to seen was a space in the bag for the pad that is included. We did try to fold up the cot with the pad on it but it would not completely collapse, so you have to remove the pad before you can fold up the cot. The frame itself seems very sturdy, and when my husband laid on the cot he reported feeling very secure, and the cot seemed very stable while he was sleeping on it. Overall, this camping bed is exactly what we were looking for, and based on its quality I imagine we will use this cot for years to come. ... show more

I have a tri-fold cot and wanted to update to this fold up model. This makes it easier to store away and in the car with other equipment. It was relatively easy to push down and pull back up. I slept outside under a covered patio with light rain in 50 degrees weather with just the cot pad and a summer mummy bag (not down). My sleeping bag is not my favorite because it always is cold under the bag with any kind of padding on the ground, so I was not sure about being off the ground with cold air under me. I was quite comfortable, and was even able to side sleep, and turn a bit. In the morning, I found one side of the pad was slightly damp from the condensation, but I never felt it. The cot itself was dry (nice sturdy material). I was very pleased with the cot. Two minor concerns-no room under the cot to store stuff, and I had to store the pad in my own duffle. However, a comfortable sleep beats those two items. ... show more

I picked this up as an alternative to the inflatable mattresses that seem to get holes after a single use. We have other cots for camping but they are heavy with a lot of thick, heavy aluminum legs that I seem to bang on just about everything when I'm moving them around (nicking my walls, knees, etc.). Think your typical Army style cot. Anyway, my intention with the item I'm reviewing is to use it for when kids or cousins, etc. sleep over. It is easier to set up than my heavy camping cots and much more comfortable. It comes with a headrest and puffy bedding that really makes a difference between this cot and my camping cot in terms of comfort. There is also an attached pouch to put your cell phone or small item in while you sleep so it doesn't get lost. Assembly is simple and disassembly is just as easy. In case you need a little help, there is a 1 page instruction guide telling you to lift at the head and feet and then pull up in the middle. I didnt really expect much out of this, just as a make shift on the go travel bed but wow! This thing is awesome, I want to take it everywhere. It super comfortable even with out the pad. It’s a good size, I’m 6’4 and my feet barely hang off the edge so that’s a huge plus for me. With the padding it’s even more comfortable and had no problems sleeping through the night on it. I mainly bought it for my little ones to use when we visit family out of town but i think i see more camping trips in my future with this. It folds up nicely and very compact. The included travel carrying bag came in handy as well so portable and convenient. Folding backup took getting use to but once you get the hang of it and push from the ends it folds up easily. Looks just like the picture. I am 5'9" and 200lbs and I felt very safe on the cot. It's a little narrow--as cots are, but there's room to lay flat on your back and rest your arms on the sides without them falling off--mostly. You do REALLY have to push hard on those middle points to get the hard plastic pieces to lay flat and get our of your way. The mattress--what a silly piece of fluff. It's just some thin fiberill--super soft and light and NO padding or support at all. It would maybe work for a kid. If you put some firm foam topper under it that would probably work. It does fold up very quickly and easily and is light enough to make carrying easy. But the mattresss is separate piece--does not go into the bag with the cot. ... show more
