We installed these in June of this year. They work great! We have had no issues. Sometimes they won’t lock but all you have to do is push in the corner where the lock is and that usually does the trick. We have them in our kitchen and our bathroom. My daughter has yet to get into the cabinets with these locks. She will sometimes yank on the cabinet handle to try to open it. She hasn’t been able to pull the cabinet open so they’re pretty sturdy. Works as described. Do not rely solely on the adhesive backing to secure. Should be for initial placement and alignment. Screws should be used after placement us determined. Screws included are fine for interior of cabinet but I would use shorter screws into the door, as the ones included are close to the thickness of the average cabinet door. ... show more

We’ve found these locks to be a great option for kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as furniture. After installing the first couple it was easy and quick to install the others. If you pay attention as you do it they install really well and have zero issues. The three things to make sure you do correctly are place the lock far enough away from any magnetic closures in your drawer or cabinet so that won’t affect it, make sure it’s aligned properly with the height and depth, and prep the surface beforehand (and let it dry completely). We love that our baby can’t pinch his fingers in any doors or drawers’ gaps as he attempts to get them open (and he tries very hard!), and also that the locks can be deactivated when the baby isn’t around. That’s been a really great feature for extended family as well. Grandparents can install them but only activate them when we come to visit, so they don’t have to deal with childproofed kitchen cabinets all the time. The locks removed well without any damage to the cabinets in our rental home when we moved recently, but we didn’t have any issues with them coming off when our baby pulled on the cabinets, even though he’s very strong for his age and size. The company was also extremely quick and helpful when I reached out with an inquiry about replacement adhesive strips for the backs. I was very impressed, especially after some less than helpful interactions with other companies whose products had issues recently. I will continue to recommend these locks from this brand to all my friends and relatives with little ones. ... show more

I have a one bedroom apartment with one restroom. I had a guest over and she was all in the places she didn't belong. I did not address it, I just fixed the issue. These locks were easy to install with nails included (if you choose to make permanent or used do to the type of surface). There's a video which walks you through the entire process (if you're like me, I'm not mechanically inclined the video was very helpful. I installed within minutes. What was so impressive when I was looking through all the types of cabinet locks was this was one. It locks! No, really, there's a little switch to set like a on or off switch. Genius design. Wait until you get one and you'll see what's so exciting. The magnetic key is just pure genius! Gotta give them credit too, not only does it comes with a how-to-manual, and video but it was well the packaged. Good buy for the money a total of 4 locks. ... show more

    • Sent an opened box without cradle, adhesives seem old

The good news is that you CAN install these without the cradle. The bad news is that we were sent an opened box that did not have the cradle and it took us a ridiculously long time to get these installed. However, now that they’re done, we are very grateful! They work like a charm. The magnet is very strong to get through our wooden cabinet doors. My only wish, other than we had received a cradle, was that the 3M strips were a little stronger. (Maybe we got an old box?) I easily pulled off one of the locks just by tugging hard on the cabinet door (and this was after waiting 24 hours as directed). ... show more
