Well we bought this for the purpose of reapply the on /off switch for our under the counter lighting which it did with out any fanfare as long as you prep both surfaces with acetone or isopropyl alcohol this stuff is tenaciously sticky and acrylic waterproof too it doesn't appear the switch will ever fall off again !! Which opens up a whole world of other uses heres a few we've found the address numbers that fell off the mailbox (remember waterproof) ,The bless this house sign above the front door, the little magnetic strip on the medicine cabinet door in the bathroom, the alarm system motion sensor, and the front door bell which is wireless and has to be removed to change the battery then re taped in place see were im going with this all you have to do is think about it and you will find something to use it on like the corner soap dish in the half bath shower stall.after seeing how well it works when the surface is prepped right im convinced it will work without a problem and again waterproof!! And there's still like a million feet left ....ok well it's only 33 feet long but when you only use a few inches per project it's going to last forever I'll probably forget where I put it before I run out . So yes I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is interested in this large quantity reasonably priced super sticky double stick tape . I'll give a follow up review to see the longevity of this tape ... show more

This review is for: Summerbrite Double Sided Tape, Heavy Duty Mounting Tape, 33FT x 0.4IN Two Sided Adhesive Foam Tape Waterproof Wall Tape Sticky Poster Tape Multipurpose for Car, LED Strip Lights Home Decor I purposely got this very narrow tape as I figured the size would be good for LED strips. I'm currently lighting the interior of a trailer with the LED strips. I don't entirely trust the adhesive that comes on the back of the strips, especially given the fact that this trailer will be seeing extreme hot and cold temperatures, so I cut off little pieces of this double-sided tape and put them every 18 in or so. This is more or less a backup just in case the other adhesive fails, but I didn't want to have to put the LED strips up again and wanted to hedge my bet. I've used other double-sided tape such as this. This is pretty much exactly what I thought it would be and hoped it would be. It's just like the other double-sided tape I've used in the past. It is quite sticky and seems like it'll hold well. Time will tell. ... show more

    • It's pretty thin
Make sure both surfaces are clean and debris/film free. Any oil or residual cleaning solution will adversely affect the adhesion. Also make sure the tape is not installed over or near a heat source as that will also adversely affect adhesion. Overall it's pretty straight forward to use. Cut to the desired length then install on the wall or surface that you wish to attach your object to. press firmly all along the length of the tape to get air bubbles out and to start the bond process. The backing tape can be a booger to remove sometimes but with some patience and nails it's achievable. Once the backing is removed apply the object and again press firmly all along the length of the object to get the adhesive to set in well. So far it's holding the plastic shelves I have for phones and books just fine. ... show more

    • Extremely Strong Tape - Even When NOT Used Properly!

I ordered this tape to see if I could use it to run some LEDs under my two-tiered desk, but very quickly found MANY other uses for it...some of which aren't even suggested! I have acoustic foam and other sound treatment paneling in my home office/studio and decided to give this tape a shot on the foam paneling. Listen, I know, I know - it says it's for use on smooth surfaces such as glass, wood, metal, plastic, etc. and NOT suggested for fabrics, brick, and other texturized surfaces...surfaces such as acoustic foam, LOL! But I tried it anyway, and guess what? It WORKS. This tape is that powerful. It comes brilliantly and carefully packaged and you can cut it to any length you need. I literally just used this to temporarily mount a small flashlight in order to perform maintenance on one of my computers - it worked FLAWLESSLY and came off without leaving anything behind (in that instance, the surface was more in line with what the product suggests). This roll of tape is so powerful, it doesn't go in the kitchen drawer - this goes in the tool bag! ... show more

    • Seems very similar to 3M VHB tape - holding strong
This tape is clearly modeled after the 3M VHB tape and seems to be performing equally as well in my informal tests. This is a strong double-sided tape designed for semi-permanent applications. So, for instance, it's the type of tape you can use to stick something to your wall (and I am) and it'll hold well... just be aware that it'll probably tear the paint off the surface when you remove. I have confidence in this tape equaling what I use the 3M tape for and would certainly get more. ... show more
