I bought this tape when some of my pictures didn’t work with the 3M removable mounting tape. This tape saved some of my old wooden pictures that the 3M tape wouldn’t adhere to. This tape sticks to wood with no problems. You can manipulate so that it gets in all the grooves of wood and it will hang on to the wall for dear life. Pros: this stuff is awesome. Very easy to apply and mount pictures. I recommend holding something in place for a few seconds. It’s seems to take a little bit to really stick good. Very easy to remove. Once you stick something to the wall or whereever ….it will hold on to what you stick it to as if the future of the world depends on it. When you remove something, just leave the tape where it is for an hour or so, so that it dries up and it will come right off. No damage to walls or mounted items. You have to be careful removing things from walls. Kind of rock it and shimmy it to get it loose. It took two days to remove an old wood picture. I just shimmied it a few times and on day 2 I pulled it right off. About an hour later, the tape was off the wall. Cons: Not really a con because you can trim the tape. This tape needs to be completely covered. If part of the tape is exposed it will dry up and then slowly things start coming off. Make sure you trim the tape so that it isn’t exposed. ******This is now my go to mounting tape. It can be cut to any size and it’s clear so you can even mount clear glass. It feels like a thick strip of rubber cement almost. I don’t know if anyone knows what that it but that’s what it reminded me of. Definitely recommend. ... show more

I got this to glue on plastic pigeon spikes to keep them off my air conditioner. Applying this (to clean surfaces) was easy. It could be cut to size with regular scissors (no residue on the scissors when cut with the protective tape still on), and it was a piece of cake to apply. So far it is withstanding rain, snow, ice, and wind. It's been a month. We'll see how it'll do overtime, but so far, it delivers. ... show more

I needed a strong double-sided tape for some minor repair projects for a while, but I've tried a couple of brands over the years and they disappointed me, so I just dropped the idea of those repairs for now. I don't how the information about this item came to my attention, but I'm glad it did. I read through a lot of these reviews, including the most recent ones and the negative ones, and decided to get a 20 ft x 1-inch roll for myself. I took the roll with me to my car and proceeded to cut 2 x 3 inches pieces to hold the lighting enclosure for the passenger visor. About 4 years ago it had fallen out as the glue that held it in had dried up from the heat of the sun, and several attempts to repair it only made it messier I ended up just using 2 cable ties to hold it in place, but by doing so it blocked the use of the lights. Now just 2 pieces of 3-inch double-sided tape fixed a problem that was 4 years old, and it looks far better now, and you can now use the lights in the enclosure. Those 2 pieces of tape should keep it secure for many years. Next, I used another 3-inch piece to attach the SunPass turnpike transponder to the front windshield as one of the 2 suction cups fell off and went missing a year ago. Every now and again, the transponder will fall off while I'm driving, so using this double-sided tape fixed the problem. *** UPDATE *** 5 days later That Sunpass Transponder isn't coming off unless you use at least 40 pounds of pressure to pry it off the windscreen!! And now I barely used 1 foot out of a 20-foot roll of tape and I'm looking for things to use it on. I'm very pleased with this And I'm recommending this as a must-have for every household. I purchased this tape specifically for keeping rugs in place. It worked awesome for about 30 days and in about a week’s time all of the area rugs that I used it on lost adhesion to the tape. When I pulled the tape from my beautiful wooden floor, it took the finish with it. I’m sure it might be awesome for some other use, but I tossed the roll because it’s definitely not something I’ll use again on my floors for holding rugs in place. ... show more
