I mostly paint in oil. but I do start as painting in acrylic from time to speed things up. So I wanted some acrylic supplies but I didn't want to spend too much. with this set one gets alot of bag for their buck. and I'm very satisfied with everything it came with. The canvas are student grade which work well enough for sketches and gifts for my kids and/or family. the note pad was much needed to do thumbnails and color studies. love the style of the black brushes. and I now wish all my brushes were black. haven't used them yet so idk how well they will get cleaned or if they will brake apart. But they look great for what I think is synthetic brushes. I don't full professional work in acrylic much. But this set was perfect for what I needed it for. and it has everything one needs except a water jar and maybe a rag. ... show more

The Good: Great set for beginners or those wanting to get back into art. It has been over 25 years since I last painted and this kit is a great reintroduction. You receive 3 canvases, 3 placards, and a drawing/painting pad. Nice assortment of brushes and paints. The Bad: I don't care for the plastic paint pallet. I prefer material with a little friction to make it easier to mix colors. Overall: I'm going to try my hand at painting Tarot cards on canvas. This set will allow me to refresh my skills and find what works and doesn't work before ordering full size canvas frames. I'm happy with it, and this would also be a great gift. ... show more

I love that this art supply set is complete - from the paper and canvases and canvas boards to the brush assortment and a palette tray to the 24 paint tubes, someone has everything they need to just dive into painting. The paint tubes are smaller, but there's enough to experiment with a variety of styles/subject matter. There are no 'instructions' but there are plenty of online videos to explore if someone wanted help getting started. I do think it's a bit confusing that the listing says six stretched canvases: "This set of 6 stretched canvases comes in three different sizes. 6x8", 8x10", 9x12", (3 of each). " There are actually three canvases (one each 6x8, 8x10, 9x12) and three canvas boards (each 8x10). ... show more

This pack has everything you need to get started painting; kids or adults! I would say for kids this is a 7-12 age range at minimum but comes with virtually everything needed. Love that it comes with some small canvases, stretched and flat - as well as no-bleed painting paper! Great color selection and love that it has some metallics! This would make an excellent gift for any art lover and its an excellent value considering you get virtually everything you need to get started - including some really unique brush shapes for more advanced painting skills. ... show more

I like this painting set. It isn't too much to overwhelm a beginner but also still gives enough quality items to properly do a few small paintings. The items themselves are pretty durable, even to kids being rough on it. The cleanup of the paint and tools also doesn't take too much to do on it. I can recommend this product. ... show more

This is a great set & it's a bargain considering how much you get. The paint tubes aren't the teeny tiny ones; they're a bit bigger than that. Has a nice assortment of colors. Would've been nice if there were 2 tubes of white, since most people use that the most for mixing lighter colors. Brushes are decent quality as is the pad of paper. It all comes nicely packed in a nice-looking box that makes it perfect for gift giving. ... show more
