So you have a review for me? Yes sir I do! I was thinking I could install some child cabinet safety locks to keep my baby out of the kitchen cabinets. These locks installed great! I was able to install them right side up as shown in the photos for the product, but I was ALSO able to install these locks upside down and on their sides and they still work great. The magnetic feature makes them completely invisible from the outside so if you don’t want anyone to know they are there, they don’t have to know. The package does include some small cute butterfly stickers so you can place them on the outside of the cabinet to indicate where you should hold the magnet to unlock when needed, but I opted not to use them as I prefer the cleaner look without the stickers. I know where I placed the locks after all. As for the magnet “keys” that are used to unlock the cabinets, the package comes with two included, and magnetic mounts to “store” or “hold” them when not actively using them. The mounts just like the locks also use 3M PE Foam stickers to adhere to whatever flat smooth surface you’d like to place them. HOWEVER since these magnet keys are magnets I opted to just put them on the fridge and they will hold just fine there. Additionally, really any sufficiently strong magnet should be able to unlock the cabinets so if you misplace the magnet keys that come with the set, just use another fairly powerful magnet and you should be fine. As for the locks themselves, they are super easy to install. Barely an inconvenience. I recommend reading the instructions and watching the video so you can know how to use the installation guide mount. I missed it on the first one I installed, but even without that, it came out ok. It’s much easier and quicker with the guide mount used properly though, so again, I highly recommend using that instead. The really neat thing about the locks is that they can be turned on or off as shown in the product images. To turn them on, you just “flip the switch” so to speak and it allows the hook to descend and allows it to catch the other part mounted on the inside of the cabinet. Again it doesn’t matter what orientation you mount the lock in because the hook will work right-side-up, upside-down, or any side you put it on. Mounting locks on the side is tight! As for the strength of the locks/adhesive, I have to say they/it all seems very strong. Haven’t had an issue with them yet. My child hasn’t really pulled very hard at them just yet, but judging by me pulling on them they shouldn’t come off by any means. Wow wow wow, WOW! ... show more

I am absolutely in love with the Eco Baby Magnetic Cabinet Locks for Babies! These locks have been a lifesaver in keeping my toddler out of the cabinets and ensuring their safety. Installation was a breeze. The adhesive is strong yet gentle on the cabinets, leaving no damage or marks when applied or removed. I was slightly skeptical when I bought these, thinking that maybe the adhesive wouldn't be strong enough or that it would be a pain to remember to grab the magnetic key every time I need to get into my cabinets. I'm so glad I tried them anyways -- they are by far my favorite baby lock (and I've tried 4 different brands/styles so far). I found these easy and pretty intuitive to install, despite the instructions being a little confusing. (For example, the pictures/diagrams are all numbered, but they're not necessarily the installation steps you're supposed to take in numbered order -- plus, the numbers 3 and 4 are missing, which makes you feel like *you're* missing something... but I think it's just a typo rather than actual information not being there.) Regardless, I installed the locks with no problem just using common sense and a bit of trial and error. I only had to sacrifice one lock during the process, and that was my fault because I didn't realize that I was putting the adhesive over an imperfect/raised part of the wood. I've waited 2 weeks since installing these locks before leaving this review, so I could attest to their functionality. They're still working great -- my (strong) 1 year old son has not been able to pull off the adhesive despite yanking on the cabinet doors frequently and persistently. It only took me about 3 days to get used to grabbing the magnetic key before trying to open the cabinet... now it's pretty much habit and doesn't seem like a very big inconvenience. In the kitchen, I keep the magnetic key on the refrigerator. (Bonus: I used a sharpie to write "CLEAN" on the kitchen key, so now it doubles as a sign to indicate whether or not our dishwasher is clean, meaning my husband and I are no longer on the brink of divorce every time he loads dirty dishes into a clean dishwasher, or puts dirty dishes onto the shelves thinking they're clean! ;) For a while I was puzzled over the small magnetic disks that came with the magnetic "keys". Since I was using mine only in the kitchen at first, I didn't understand why you'd need these. However, they're actually ingenious -- if you happen to be using these locks in a room without a refrigerator (or other obviously magnetic surface) you can adhere these disks to the wall, etc. and instantly create a magnetic "home" for the key. Excellent attention to detail in the design of this product! Overall, these are fantastic. They work well, and are very clever and unobtrusive. We live in an apartment so it's been nice not having to tear up all the cabinets with screw holes, and I love not having to jam my fingers down into an inch of space to trigger the unlocking function like you have to do with most other baby locks. Oh, and there's an "unlocking" function that you can easily switch on for after your baby goes to bed, so adults are not having to constantly grab the key. Such a great, thoughtful invention -- baby locks have come a long way! ... show more
