I made myself a new desk and I knew that I wanted to get my samsung 49" monitor off of the stand that it comes with. I wanted the slick look of a single point mount with minimal contact surface with my desk. After looking around, the one that everyone suggest to use for this monitor cost a LOT! Like between $300 - $400. Thinking that was ridiculous, I started to look and read reviews here on amazon. This one fit my needs esthetically but the price point made me think it was not going to be a quality product because it was well under $100 at the time I purchased it. I figured with free returns I could at least take a look at it. Well.... the quality is outstanding and it's more than capable of holding this beast of a monitor up and I didn't have to crank anything down to max or over tighten anything to get it to stay put. I move / adjust it to where I want and it stays in place. Now..... where the monitor attaches to the stand is NOT out of the box ready to go. I knew this going into it. I wanted it to look as integrated / factory as possible and not look like the monitor stand is obviously aftermarket. What you have to do to accomplish this is use parts of both the existing mount and the mount that comes with the stand. I had to drill 1 hole larger and use a lower profile nut and bolt I had extra laying around to get it done. If you are not at least a little bit handy I wouldn't attempt it. If you are its pretty straight forward what you need to do when you have both pieces in front of you and are looking at them. I know my photo is kind of dark but you can see the integration looks seamless. This was important to me because the back of my monitor faces the rest of the room. If yours faces the wall you might not care to do it like I did as nobody will see it. Overall I'm very happy with the stand. ... show more

The installation process for this monitor mount was straightforward, and it feels sturdy once set up. However, if you need to adjust the clamps left or right, it’s quite a hassle. Unfortunately, you have to dismantle certain parts just to make minor adjustments, which makes achieving perfect alignment tricky. I wish the design allowed for easier adjustments without needing to remove everything. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a monitor arm for awhile now, because the base of my monitor is huge and takes up so much desk space. (I have the Samsung CRG9 49” curved monitor.) In addition to supporting 32lbs, I needed a monitor arm that the base tightened from the top, as I have a Secret Lab Magnus Pro desk. This one works perfectly. I have a 38lb 43” LG monitor and even with the arm adjusted to the correct settings it would not keep the monitor horizontal with my desk. Monitor continually tilts slightly. I was skeptical that it would hold the 44 lbs it said it would in the listing. It does seem really well made but just wouldn’t work for my application.     • Easy Install and Solid with LG Extreme Curve Ultra 49"

Easy assembly and wire management is perfect. Works great with LG Ultra 5K 49". Install for the USB A was a little tricky, you have to approach it at a bottom to top angle to get it to set in correctly. If you have to fight to get the plug to fit into the cutout you are doing it wrong.

Most sturdy of monitor mounts outside of AVLT. Fit and finish aren't quite as good as the Ergounion/Ergotron, but the amount of monitor shake with desk movement is far less. If you purchased the USB model, you may want to order a USB C female to USB C cable if that is important to you, otherwise the box comes with USB C female to USB A male. The actual length of reach is slightly shorter than the Ergo/AVLT, but I kept this one for the quick mount/release and pure rigidity of the mount itself. I also highly prefer the allen tightening of the clamp vs the crank knobs from the bottom. Cable management is good, I would rate it superior to the Ergounion/Ergotron and inferior to the AVLT models. Even with the modest flaws, I would still give this mount 5 stars. I've ordered/used almost all of the top-tier mounts, and I kept this and the dual version. ... show more
