    • Singer can do better-Adding an edit
I have had Singer products for years as my mother did before me, so I was anxious to get this product. There is no manual and the one piece of paper guide was not very helpful. I had a terrible time getting this to work. The front loading bobbin was not a big problem as such, but that it constantly jams is. The machine is finicky, to say the least. I actually had to go to YouTube for information since the Singer site was not as helpful as I wanted it to be. I finally had to call the local Singer repair shop for help and they told me the side loading bobbin has some known issues. I am on the 5th bobbin which is finally working and the machine sews ok. But overall I am very disappointed with this purchase. The product was close to $200 and the minimum on repair is $100. Amazon only allows 30 days for a return. I wonder why. I'm adding on here about 1 month later. The machine seems to have worked out all its kinks-or I got better-and now works beautifully. No problem with any of the bobbins I am using and I have completed 5 projects without a hitch. I am totally converted to really liking this machine. I like my new sewing machine! It is basic and that’s what I needed. The only thing I did not like is the fact that no written instructions come with the machine. Yes, it’s on line but that is not convenient for me. I sew so seldom that I need to refer to the instructions. I ended up printing the manual out at the cost of about $25 (UPS Store) ... show more

I’ve never used a sewing machine before buying this one and I’m really happy with it. I watched one youtube tutorial on how to set it up and once I figured that out it was extremely simple. It’s exactly what I wanted for simple projects and getting used to using a machine. I have had some issues with thread jamming or tangling but I assume that’s probably a user error lol. I saw several positive reviews submitted about this machine. . I had this machine back in the box within 2 hours to return it. Needle threader did not work. The front load bobbin was difficult to install. I never got it. Perhaps the issues I had with it could be due to the operator (me). This machine was cheap looking as well. I bought a Singer 7285Q a little over a year ago. What a piece of equipment. Love it! A whole different machine. I purchased the M3330 through Amazon and shipped to my brother’s home in Florida. I winter in FL and wanted to do some sewing. I went to JoAnn’s Fabrics and bought another 7285Q. Runs like a Cadillac. ... show more

Love the color and love that it is just like my previous basic Singer machine so previous equipment works on this one too. Easy to order and receive thru Amazon; hard to find sewing machines now in this pandemic. I had purchased a basic Brother machine with a drop-in bobbin and had problems repeatedly. Returned it to the store and ordered this one. No problems, was able to complete the quilt I had been sewing. I much prefer the original type bobbin. This machine has a handle for easy lifting if necessary. Basic straight sewing and zig-zag is good. Some additional decorative stitching is present, but I have not used that yet. ... show more
