🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

These reviews show a mixed reaction towards the Singer embroidery machine. The product's ease of use, larger hoop option, and stability have earned appreciation. However, some users find it complicated, having issues with automated threading, and limitations with on-screen display. There were also concerns about the software and USB adapter not being included, making them additional purchases.

Pros

  • 👍 User-friendly - many users were able to use it immediately after unboxing.
  • 👌 Larger hoop option - the ability to use larger hoop sizes for designs was appreciated.
  • 🌟 Compatibility with Singer files - it utilizes existing Singer embroidery files.
  • 👏 Stability - users reported the machine was stable yet not too heavy.

Cons

  • 👎 Limited on-screen display - users reported difficulties in tracking steps on the machine's display.
  • 💽 USB Adapter - The machine can't connect a computer directly and requires an adapter for USB stick
  • 🧵 Threading issue - users found the automatic threading feature difficult to understand and use.
  • 💻 Additional software purchase - the machine apparently needs a separate design software for full utility.

Should I Buy It?

If you're a beginner looking for an easy-to-use machine, have existing Singer files, and don't mind purchasing an extra software and a USB adapter, this might be a good fit for you. However, for advanced users seeking for sophisticated features (like on-screen editing) or those wanting more thorough and user-friendly auto-threading, this model may not meet your needs.

  • Great machine for the money
Style: SE300
So far I had my machine for a month and it’s been great! Easy setup, design come out very nicely and not to heavy to move around but very stable in my opinion. For the money I think it is a great value

  • Not a good machine.
Style: SE300
I really wanted to love this machine. It has a 6x10 embroidery area and that was what I was looking for. It’s beautiful right out of the box. Sleek. Pretty. I finally figured out how to embroider a design and in the middle of it, the motor overload message popped up. I finally got the design finished. It was a simple snowflake built in design. Then I tried a name. Motor overload message twice. Needles break easily and they bend. Went through a whole package quickly. Thread bunched under bobbin. Not a good machine. Screen is in black and white and does not tell you where it is going to begin. Unless you print out the designs in color, you will not know which color to begin with or which color to change it to when it’s time for a thread change. It was cheap for the size embroidery area but if it doesn’t work well, it’s not a good deal. I used to use Singer all the time. Then went to Brother then Janome. I love the Brother and Janome. Both are very user friendly. Singer has gone way downhill on their quality. It’s a shame because they could have made this into a great embroidery machine. It looks great. Sorry to say that I had to return it. ... show more

  • Ummmm 🤨
Style: SE300
Let me start off by saying .. it’s a good machine .. but there are a couple of things I highly dislike about it. The monitor is black and white so you can’t tell what colors you need unless you remember what’s on the computer .. there’s only one usb you can use so please don’t lose it. There’s no many things that compatible with it. Like buying a BMW and have to take it back to BMW for anything that’s needed. ... show more

So far loving it. The only thing I have disliked is the embroidery program you can not do anyrhing with it you actually have to buy a separate program to be able to actually do some good designs.

  • All in all very happy!!
Style: SE340
I have only embroidered with it once and loved it! I have mostly been sewing with this machine so far! So much easier to use than my old machine!! This is the 1st time I've ever had a machine that will thread the needle and will never own another that doesn't!! The only problem I have had is with the memory stick, I can't get this to print the pages from my computer as it says!! I will have to contact someone for help with that!! ... show more

  • My everyday machine
Style: SE300
Overall, good sewing machine. I did have to set the bobbin tension for the embroidery setting which is a bit aggravating when you switch from sewing to embroidery. I suggest having an extra bobbin, one for sewing, one for embroidery.

  • Missing parts and tearing of upper thread
Style: SE300
The overall hoop sizes that this embroidery machine is capable of using is an absolute plus, although this might be worth the size it’s definitely not worth the quality of actual stitching. Upon receiving shipment item was actually missing power cord but didn’t want to stress too much about it and bought a cord that would fit to it, the machine works great for the first day and the next the machine won’t pull the upper thread anymore and will continue to pop the thread whilst making a clanking sound. Was not to my expectations. I usually don’t write bad reviews but this was just my experience with it. ... show more
