The fire place piece and then everything else in a second box. Overall installation was easy it just took time to install the wall mount (similar to a tv). I’m very satisfied. I’m considering a second one for our bedroom. Different flame and lighting options, plus you can choose from rock or fire-log. The heating option is great as well. We have been looking for over a year for a realistic unit without having to do any construction and this surpasses our expectations. The unit when installed has a built in 3 dimensional look to it. Many visitors think that it is built into the wall! The various color and flame options are so unique and the mantle is very classy with a modern appearance. If you have the space on your wall get the unit with the lights. My pictures are of the purchased 50 inch model. Fits so perfect and the ambiance changed the entire look of our room. One relative already indicated that they will be buying one after seeing it in action. The packaging was unbelievable, arriving with no shipping damage whatsoever. It comes in 2 boxes which are large and slightly heavy. Total installation time was just over two hours because I took my time. Our choice are the crystals rather than the logs but that is personal preference. The price is right as well and the company has proven to me to stand behind their product by responding to questions I had in a very timely fashion. The mantle makes this unit appear as it is part of the wall. I didn't want a free hanging fireplace that had the appearance of a TV. If you are shopping for an electric fireplace I highly recommend this unit. The flames are so perfect, especially at night. Simplifire simply needs to pack their fireplaces better. The boxes (2) per fireplace are very heavy and arrived ripped open with moderate crate damage, cardboard adrift, tape failed, corners crushed, etc. the unit was damaged mildly with bent sheet metal needing to be straightened. I was concerned about the packaging misgivings stated in some reviews and sure enough a strap broke as fedex was delivering, having one end fall to the ground. No cardboard damage and all was well. I found the instructions to be cryptic but luckily I’m handy with this toy stuff. One screw went in crooked and another not at all. It’s heavy so I made sure to attach to 3 wall studs and several toggle bolts for peace of mind. After all is said it’s stunningly beautiful. We wanted to install a fireplace but the design of our living room and solar panels don’t allow for it, so we opted for this. Nobody is going to think it’s a real fire, but it’s really beautiful and adds so much to the room! We are big fans. Our family wanted to use the crystals, and they were so pretty, but our cat liked them too much. Be aware if you have a cat those things will be all over your floor! It came well-packed and mounting was easy with a little measuring and drilling. They also included a touch-up pen for any scratches or nicks. Cool light features and puts out a decent amount of heat.
