  • The name is a little off
Color: Galaxy Blue
You cannot hover with this, hoover board, lol but you can have some fun. Self-balancing means you don't have to do too much to get moving right away with this 2-wheel, people mover. Fun to move around on smooth surfaces with your family and friends. What makes this one special is that it is rechargeable, has built in LED, rgb lighting, and can play music via your phone and Bluetooth. It is a pretty cool way to move around and stay connected. Puit on your favorite music or talk show and engage the lights, and go roll around for fun to relax, a cool item at a great price. ... show more

  • Ridiculous, but not bad.
Color: Black
This thing is embarrassingly childish in appearance. The led rainbow lightshow, including even the tires, is humiliating. I will spray paint the hubcap led lights black. If that causes them to overheat and burn out, that will be fine. I'll even paint the tires, and expect that only the ring of ground contact will wear off and be illuminated. The claimed maximum range of 8.5 miles, load of 220 lbs and speed of 8.5 mph are substantially greater than many others of similar price. (The range, speed and climbing ability of a board are always dependent upon rider weight, the terrain and the usage, which leaves a lot of leeway for manufacturers to approximate the numbers.) Many other hoverboards, even at a similar price, have 8.5" wheels, which roll over bumps more easily, but turn less quickly. (For a novice that might be a feature.) High-end boards weigh up to twice as much, can go about 10 mph, have ~ 4Ah batteries, and max out at ~ $400, with up to ~ 800w motors (total) and ~ a 12 mile range. Some have swappable batteries that can extend range (after a break to change the battery). A few (over $400) have 10" tires. This board is sold on Amazon by Simate as model ‎P6. Simate has a website, but it doesn't depict this model and that site's search function turns up nothing in a search for "P6." I did a web search for "hoverboard P6" but it produced no relevant results. I was able to download an instruction manual from the Simate website, but it is generic to all of the company's hoverboards. The box contains no documentation of any kind. The only thing of significance the box says is "Model: Version". A web search for those words reveals an Amazon product page, https://www.amazon.com/SIMATE-Hoverboard-Bluetooth-Lights-Balancing/dp/B0B6NMMGZZ . The price ranges from $90 to $120 for various colors, with black, similar to mine but not the same, being $110. There is no more hard information about that model than there is for mine, but a chart on that page relating to other Simate boards shows that one of them, the "Apato 6.5" series", is priced at $120-$130 and has a 2 Ah battery. The battery in mine is probably the same. Simate produces some relatively high-end hoverboards (about $400 list). They are nothing like this. The description for this board doesn't state an IP rating, suggesting that it doesn't have one, and that it might not survive wet weather. The downloaded generic user manual for Simate boards, however, says that the IP level is 54, allowing "wee dust and splashing water," and that one must prevent water or other liquids from penetrating into the board's main unit to avoid permanent damage to internal electronics. Elsewhere the downloaded manual says that one must not ride on rainy days. Where I live, for half the year we get rain on most days. I will apply black duct tape over some seam areas, though that won't be possible over the swiveling center joint, where I'll push some dark grease slightly down in hopes of sealing it. I appreciate that this relatively inexpensive board has allowed me to get familiar with hoverboards. It's fun. I would have, however, preferred a board that isn't humiliating out of the box, and that could occasionally be run in the rain. This will entertain me briefly, but I will move on. The lights are not sufficiently focused or powerful for riding in darkness, though they would help make you visible if you use a strong headlamp to see the road. ... show more

  • Wow
Color: White
All I can say is WOW. This thing is amazing. It not only is a hoverboard, but also has led lights and a Bluetooth speaker. The battery life is great, but have to hide it to charge. Holds up to 225 lbs!

  • Better than expected
Color: Black
This is the first hoverboard I've used, so I have no basis for comparison, but first impression is that it's well made (feels quite heavy) and works well. As I'm just learning how to ride it, I haven't experienced top speed, but the motors feel plenty powerful and it seems to handle the slight incline of my driveway ok. Having lost control on an early attempt and falling hard on my backside, I'll need a few days before I'm up to trying it again but I think it'll prove to be lots of fun once I'm a little more stable on it. ... show more

  • Solid-built hoverboard, nice lights but poor sound quality
Color: White
This is a good-looking hoverboard with very attractive light effects. The board itself is built fairly robust and looks suitable for an average adult. It performs well both indoors and on average asphalt hardscape. I wouldn't say I liked the look of the case plastic - it looks somewhat dull and overall feels cheap. Nevertheless, it is a very durable plastic. The sound performance is flat-out bad - relatively quiet and with an extremely narrow sound frequency band - there is no bass of any depth nor there are any good high notes. In addition to that, light effects appear to interfere with the sound system and create a parasitic background noise in the speaker that is very audible if you are not playing any music. Overall this is a solid-performer hoverboard, but the sound system is not good. ... show more

  • Pretty Dang Awesome!
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I love this thing!! I’ve never been able to do a hover board in the past. I figured I’d give this one a go. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is very easy to use. It’s sturdy and feels well built. It’s quiet and moves almost effortlessly across the ground. It’s almost kind of scary that it goes where I want it to go with almost no effort. Getting on and off is a little scary but it’s because I’m not used to it. However, that will come with time. I have been all over my house with this thing and it’s really fun. The battery life goes a long way too. I feel like I’ve used it a while with a great charge still. I love that I can see the battery life just by looking down. The light show is not necessary, but looks cool. I figure my son will be using this more than me so I’m sure he will love it once he sees if for Christmas. I just had to test it out. 😀. Overall, looks good, rides smooth, easy to use, well built and sturdy. No regrets here. ... show more

  • Very nice
Color: Black
As far as functionality, this hoverboard is fairly standard. It is self balancing and you lean in the direction you want to go. Despite a large battery capacity, this charges fairly quickly. The light effect on the wheels are really neat. This would make an excellent holiday gift.
