  • I expected an improve in temperatures, did not happen
Style: Series 7
I expected with new paste my temperatures will improve. First of all, the syringes are very small. Used on a MSI GE70 with Geforce GTX 860m, in both the CPU and GPU. Temperatures only fell short of a few degrees, but as soon as I intensively used the CPU or GPU, they skyrocketed, almost like there is no paste being used. I thought it was a mistake, or maybe I applied the paste wrong (25 years assembling computers, and I'm glad to say I can't remember when that happened). So I removed the paste and applied it again..... only to see exact same thing. My CPU easily hit 98 degrees and I could feel slowdown waay too early in stress testing... it did not perform stable and temperatures were not stable. Almost like no using paste at all. I changed to MX4 for a few dollars more, and only one piece, and my problem was immediately solved. Temperatures are normal now, so the culprit was this paste. I cannot recommend this one. ... show more

  • Really great deal on thermal trease heatsink compound.. so far really great.
Style: Series 7
I've been working on computers since the early 1980's. I teach CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ I.T. certification prep classes. I bought this thermal trease heatsink compound as I remembered name.. I know I've used it in the past at some point. And this stuff is really doing a great job.. so far. My cpu temps have been 40 highest and 35 lowest, which is great for an AMD A6. One other thing, is I'm not overclocking.. I just needed to replace the poor job that the OEM did on the original thermal trease heatsink compound. -Tom ... show more

  • Works really well
Style: Series 9
My late 2009 Macbook was running hotter than normal and fan was constantly coming on at high rpms to account for the higher heat. Even just browsing the web. It was getting to the point that I couldn't even put the computer on my lap without something underneath it. I decided it was time to redo the thermal paste after almost 10 years of use. so I ordered this just because I needed some, though I suspect I have way more than I will need for years. After taking out my macbook's logic board and removing the heatsink, I removed the nasty dried clay like substance that at one time used to be heat sink paste and cleaned it off thoroughly with alcohol. I applied a nice generous even coating of this paste to the gpu and cpu, reattached the heatsink and put it all back together. After booting back up and letting the unit warm up, I initially noticed no difference in temps, I was still hovering at about 102c with only a few broswer tabs open and fan had kicked on high. I thought well I guess that didnt help, but after leaving he computer on for about 30 minutes and letting it do its thing, the fans calmed down and since then I have done several fairly intensive tasks and done what I can to heat the cpu up and it has gone no higher than 80c. So A 20 degree plus difference is huge. my fans also no longer come on excessively or at such a high speed. and The laptop is much cooler to the touch. Well worth it and now I am wondering what else I can apply this to. I have plenty of computers I can use it on. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: Series 7
The two surfaces of a heat sink and the top of a computer chip are machined to be flat but under a microscope are not as flat as they could be. The jagged edges trap air and prevent a smooth close mating of the two metallic surfaces. This heat sink compound fills in those voids where air would otherwise be trapped and allows for greater heat transfer from the computer chip to the heat sink and thus reduces CPU temperature and prolongs the life of the computer chip. Just like heat in a car engine can shorten the life of that engine trapped heat in a computer chip to heat-sink can shorten the life of the computer chip. In over 30 years of using various compounds some are truly better than others, but this one is well within a degree of some of the best ones sold for much more. I give these away when I sell older heat sinks that I no longer have a need for to help the other person. ... show more

Style: Series 7
So small each 1 is only 1 inch long not counting the plunger and 1/4 inch wide tube I measured it . I opened the plastic bag it came in and looked wen it arived could not believe how small thay are I ordered 2 of the 5 packs thinking it would last me for awhile what a . joke. Very disappointed 😞 such a rip off. buy another brand that gives a discrimination of size. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. ... show more

  • Good thermal paste at a super chap price.
Style: Series 7
What can I say? Its thermal paste. It has been keeping the CPU pretty cool, only about 3 degrees warmer than Arctic Silver at a LOT cheaper price. with this much thermal paste I won't have to worry about running dry for several years, great deal!
