Features

  • EFFICIENT THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY: Silicone and special filler-based thermal pad far outperforms generic and performance oriented pads
  • BRIDGING GAPS: Due to its low hardness and great compressibility properties, it works as a perfect gap filler, bridging uneven surfaces and gaps without any problems
  • EASY TO INSTALL: The installation of the ARCTIC Thermal Pads is child's play and thus perfect even for beginners. They are non-adhesive and can therefore be placed precisely
  • SAFE HANDLING: The pad does not contain metal particles, is electrically insulating and non-capacitive. It is therefore safe to handle, as contact with electrical parts would not cause any kind of damage
  • TECHNICAL DATA: Quantity: Pack of 1, Size: 50 x 50 x 0.5 mm, Hardness: 80 Shore 00, Continuous Use Temperature: -40~200 C, Specific Gravity: 3.2 g/cm3

  • Excellent for laptop cooling! Great for gaming and helps with CPU/GPU throttling.
If you have a steamy laptop, then these are great for connecting your heat-producing areas to your laptop chassis. If you have a laptop with aluminum or metal body, then use these pads to create contact points to the metal body. The metal body has a much larger surface area and can absorb and dissipate heat much better. This will lead to overall cooler-running laptop. I did this with my laptop and it lowered the temps of my laptop quite a bit. Many online reviewers say this thermal pad is as good as some thermal pastes which is amazing. Installation is easy, they are sticky and will adhere to most surfaces. You can easily use a pair of scissors to cut them to whatever size you need. Since putting these on my laptop, I've noticed increased temperatures on my aluminum chassis (to the touch) during gaming sessions but decreased temps on my CPU and GPU cores. This allows me to sustain full CPU and GPU speeds longer before the laptop starts throttling speeds to keep temps under control. If you use your chassis as a heat sink, a side effect is that the chassis will get warmer. I can FEEL the chassis getting warm from my fingertips. However the increased surface area removes heat away from the critical components and can dissipate heat faster. If you have a cooling pad with a fan, then it makes the cooling pad more efficient. Unfortunately there is NO MAGIC BULLET for laptop cooling, the heat HAS TO GO SOMEWHERE! You'd rather it go to the chassis then the cores. I would order the thinner pads unless you absolutely know you have a huge gap and need the thicker ones. You can always fold the thinner pads on top of each other to fill in the bigger gaps. Finally this stuff is fairly cheap. Buy the larger surface area to get the better deal. I ran out of the small ones fairly quickly. ... show more

  • Amazing improvement
Purchased this to change out the thermal pad on an intel NUC. the performance over the stock pads are noticeable. It’s running cooler then what I’ve normally clocked them at.

  • Didn't do much for me
Honestly, after reading some of these reviews, I guess I was expecting a lot more. On my Acer Predator Helios 300, it's barely made any difference at all in temps both idling and under load. I don't know if that's because my machine is already as optimized as it can be, or if I applied it wrong (I just applied a few strips to heat pipes). The difference is negligible. Maybe some people will have better results. At least it wasn't expensive. ... show more

  • Success without the mess!
The biggest challenge with thermal pads is usually a trade off between thermal conductivity and convenience of a relatively non-messy application compared to thermal paste. However, the 6W/m•K rating of this pad is nothing to be sneezed at. Many pads marketed as proper "thermal adhesive" type have a fraction of this rating. Though the Arctic pad is not marketed as an adhesive, it is actually very pliable and tacky so most small lightweight heatsinks actually stick readily to anything with a modest surface area. My use was to cool down an ICH 10 series chip that was generating temps in the 90's Celsius. The use of this pad and a small heatsink with some good airflow brought it down into the mid-60's to low 70's degree range Celsius maximum. Highly impressed given the small heatsink's cooling surface greatly limited heat to air transfer. Regardless, it was a success without any messy paste. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Great for computer video cards.
Bought this for my EVGA GTX 1060 SC video card. Apparently the vapor chamber in the heatsink does NOT make contact with the mosfits or the 6GB of RAM. So, I took off the heatsink and cut little squares of the thermal pad and placed them (had to use two squares because the gap was so wide) on the mosfits and ram and then reattached the heatsink. Per GPU-Z it lowered my GPU thermals by 10 degrees. I usually ran around high 60 to low 70 but now I am high 50 to low 60 degrees. Very impressed and highly recommend. ... show more

  • Used for a PS4 repair, so far so good.
I got this pad to replace the crappy/misaligned factory pads on the RAM modules in a CUH-1200 series PS4 that I did a power supply replacement on. This worked perfectly for what I needed. It was pretty easy to cut into the size needed. Wasn't sure what the thickness of the OEM pads were, so I went with the 0.5mm. In case anyone is doing the same thing, turns out you need 1mm for the PS4. No big deal though, just doubled up the pads. They're easy to apply or reposition if needed, as they're tacky but not adhesive. After reassembling, I monitored the temps with an IR thermometer and they were good. ... show more

  • Must replace the factory installed pads. Went from 82C to 60-70C once replaced
Amazing product. I originally bought the 1mm one which were to thick for my laptop so I just stuck it on the VRAM and immediately noticed temps 15C lower. I bought more for heatsink around the cpu and not both my gpu and cpu float around 65-72 max compared to 79-83max. Best save yet

  • Fixed my overheating issue on my Dell Latitude E6410 w/ ...
Fixed my overheating issue on my Dell Latitude E6410 w/ NVIDIA discrete graphics. Problem was there was a gap between the heatsink and GPU so standard thermal paste would not work. While this pad may not be as effective as higher end paste, if you need to plug a gap it does fairly well, GPU temps dropped 20C idle and 10C under load. ... show more
