  • Good, but too small
Size: easy density
It was too small for my bracelet soldering, but it worked well. I will order larger chips.

  • Truth
Size: silver hard
It was smaller than I thought. But that's because I didn't pay attention. They are tiny pieces like advertised.

  • super tiny is right
Size: easy density
So I'm a self-made jewelry designer. I decided to jump into the harder stuff like soldering. This is accurate in that it is VERY TINY...I don't know if I'll be able to use them for my projects, but we'll see.. Live and learn. Looks good though and of good quality.

  • Solder Flakes...Great for Fine Detail Work!
Size: easy density
I too was surprised when I received these solder pieces. No matter what the ad says, pictures show, or other reviewers state, it is still a bit of a surprise when you see just how tiny these really are. But, here's the thing...when making silver jewelry, it is extremely important to hide solder joints. Using tiny pieces of solder like these will help prevent leaving big gobs of solder that will take extra time to file down and will also go a LONG way in preventing over use and waste of precious silver solder saving you money in the end. I do think there are some unfair reviews here because this seller has been perfectly honest about the size of these pieces and even shows them in another magnified photo right next to the main pic against a mm measuring tape as well as a regular non-magnified picture showing a bunch of this stuff next to a dime. If you buy these by looking at the main photo alone, you definitely will be surprised. The main photo is probably magnified anywhere from 50 to 100 times. So just be prepared for the actual size of these pieces. As far as pricing? The price does seem to be fair. Not fantastic, but fair. Rolls of silver solder are extremely expensive and often clumsy to use. So personally, I feel that using solder flakes (flakes, a better description in my opinion) like these are a BIG help in making silver jewelry, especially if you are creating delicate features such as tiny scroll work. If you are making larger pieces of jewelry without a lot of fine detail then you might want to stick with regular wire type solder. ... show more

  • Time saver, Tiny chips, Solders well
Size: easy density
Precut silver solder is a real time saver. This is "Easy" solder, (requiring less heat & usually used last when constructing a multi-soldered piece) Yes, it is so very tiny, so be prepared. I just as additional solder chip if needed for the project I am doing. I have no issue with the quality of this silver solder….solders nice. I will buy this again, as my supply runs low….and like I mentioned, it is a nice time saver! ... show more

  • Huge waste of time - does not work.
Size: extra easy density
What I received does not look like the picture. I had larger pieces (like pictured) but mostly it looks like I got bits of 30+ gauge silver wire. They glow red and burn up without ever even flowing. The larger (and not by much) pieces try to flow, but still not effectively enough. This was a total waste of money. If you are trying to solder anything bigger that a super fine wire you are wasting your time. I just printed the label to return these for a refund. ... show more

  • Don't Sneeze! They Weren't Kidding With "Ultra-Tiny"!
Size: easy density
Normally I buy Harris Safety Silver 56% for use in my shop, where i construct live steam locomotives. The Harris product comes in a roll and so i was intrigued when I saw this product that promised 1500 pieces of silver solder. When the product said "ultra tiny" in the description, they weren't kidding. If you sneeze, you will lose the whole contents of the package as it goes up in a cloud of glittering dust. This is obviously meant for artisans who design and build jewelry, where ultra tiny bits of silver solder may do the job. I may ultimately find some uses for these atoms of silver solder in my shop. Time will tell. ... show more

  • The less filing the better if you ask me
Size: easy density
I initially got this to resize a silver ring. But I have used it on any silver jewelry I've been working with. I even soldered two quarters together. People say that the pieced are too small. They're sized uniformly as described. If you start out with too little you can always run more into your joint. The less filing the better if you ask me. This bag can carry you a long way, and keep you from wasting time and materials by using too much solder. ... show more
