  • Needs To Include a Cap For the Long Applicator Nozzle
It works well. Like any silicone sealant, care is required when applying it to avoid creating a mess. That's normal for this type of sealant. I used the long applicator nozzle and it worked well. However, this item needs to come with a cap to seal that nozzle so it can be used again. (After use, I wrapped it with tape and put the whole thing in a plastic bag. But a supplied cap would be more convenient.) Food Safe. Meets FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regs, USDA approval, NSF. However, the acetoxy cure system may be the reason for the warnings on the tube. So let it cure before food contact. The acetoxy cure system is a common method used to cure (harden) silicone sealants. It involves the release of acetic acid (which is the natural acid in vinegar) during the curing process. Acetoxy-cure silicone is often used because it provides good adhesion and cures relatively quickly at room temperature. Personally, I am very comfortable with the safety of acetic acid. In my opinion, the warning is likely related to industrial-scale exposure. The FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regulation specifies that silicone used in food contact applications must meet stringent safety standards. It means this silicone is safe for repeated food contact AFTER it has fully cured. Overall, I am very happy with this silicone sealant. It's the best I have found. ... show more

  • Awesome stuff!
My shower head kept falling off over and over. Instead of having to buy another holder...I tried this silicon...works great...not coming off anymore!

  • It’s food grade
Works like regular calling but is safe for food and liquid storage. I used it to rig a base for a water filter

  • leaky water pitcher fixed right up
the in-door water pitcher in my fridge sprung a leak recently. and when i looked into ordering a new one, they were incredibly cost prohibitive. the applicator that comes with it is too long & i can imagine it getting stopped up with product so i didn’t use that. i applied it directly from the tube & used my finger to smear it about. while messy that way, it came right off my finger with a paper towel. i applied it lightly at first, & let it dry the recommended amount of time, but the leak persisted. so i laid it on thick & that did it. it’s been several months now & the product is still attached. i can’t speak to the usefulness of sealing aquariums but i think it would work well. ... show more

  • Saved my food container
Had a cupcake holder that cracked around the lid clasp. Food safe product repaired the damage and allowed the continued use of holder, rather than replace

  • Seals well and safe for use where food is stored
Bought this to seal gaps inside my refrigerator. Easy to use and sealed areas not done by the manufacturer. No toxic residue. Pricey but necessary.

  • Works well but was mostly dried up
Worked well to seal leaking coffee carafe, but most of tube was dried up and couldn’t be used. I luckily didn’t need much to fix the coffee carafe.
