The color is perfect for our new home, it blends well with our seafoam color walls. I looked at the customer's pics and read their descriptions on the color to help decide whether to buy. The bottom of the lamp base is 'not' gray, it is more of a Pine Green (think crayons) with bands of lighter greenish-beige, and the upper part of the base is dark chocolate with bands of beige. The shade is white, we had a soft white bulb in it when I took the photo that made it look cream. These shades came as they do in the store unlike some I've bought online that you have to attach to the frame. Easy to put together. Just beautiful! ... show more

I decided to go ahead and order this pair of lamps in spite of some of the less than glowing reviews. There were enough positive comments, I thought I should just go ahead and do it. I'm very pleased I did. They're as lovely as shown in the photos. The colors are rich, vibrant but not harsh, nor are the colors intrusive. The size and shape are perfect. The shades help diffuse the light but still allow plenty of lighting for ease of reading. I'm sorry others had them arrive broken. Mine arrived well packed and intact. The only assembly was to attach the harp and shades. My only somewhat negative comment is....sheesh, the Amazon box the manufacturer's box is packed in was enormous. Now to dispose of it! ... show more

First set I got the lamp was broken. Second set I got the lamp shades were all bent and wire was not attached to the shade. I gave up and am going to glue it myself.

These are beautiful lamps! They go great with my new couch (charcol color) and are well made. The only drawback is the color. Online the color is blue, which is what I really wanted. These are a greenish blue color, that is a little disappointing. However, they will eventually go great with the new wall color (grey in background/hall-we haven't painted the living room yet) and couch so overall I am very happy! Price was pretty good as well for 2 lamps. Some reviews said the shades came damaged and scuffed. Mine did not, they were well packaged and no damage. ... show more

Went to pick up my box and there was glass moving around inside the box because one of my lamps was shattered into pieces like someone went through the box and just Reboxed the broken box Been waiting for ever for the this is how it shows up to my house Got my second son of lamps and I can’t even put the topper on it because when I turn it upside down all these pieces were all over my house Do not buy lamps from Amazon replacement lamps were horrible ... show more

First, these lamps are beautiful. They look and feel substantial. The color was exactly what I expected. After reading some reviews, especially regarding the finial, I was a bit nervous. Thankfully, both of mine were fine. Everything was packaged very well. The finials and shade brackets were taped inside a piece of cardboard (bent into a triangle shape) that separated the lamps. It was all very secure. Putting the lamps together, I was afraid the shades would be crooked. One finial did not appear straight and one of the brackets was a tad off. Once the shade was in place, it was actually very easy to adjust. The finial also looks straight, despite initially seeming very off. The only “issue” I have found is the plastic piece where the cord exits the back of the lamp. On both lamps, this piece was not attached. I love that I’m able to push the extra cord into the lamp, but that makes the plastic piece fall out of place. Not a huge deal- I can glue them myself. Overall, I am very pleased. ... show more
