I needed a replacement lens-cap for my Sigma lens and knew from experience of the quality of Sigma accessories. Finding this lens-cap was a huge relief, since I was sure to get a high-quality part that will withstand the "abuse" that I can dish out to it. :) I've read the other negative reviews and find them hard to believe. This lens-cap is sturdy and I am confident it will last. This will be an excellent replacement cap, providing I don't misplace it like I did the previous one. You don't necessarily need to own a Sigma lens, because if you merely want a center-pinch lens-cap, this brand is the one for you. I got a few more for the other lenses (other brands) that I own and they fit perfectly -- just pinch, snap on and release... then give it a slight clock-wise twist to tighten it in place so it won't fall off.
